    still stalling!

so frustrating!!!!! arghh ok so I am bouncing between 1lb on then off, then on then off!!! this is now 2 weeks, im really trying but i think its protein where i am lacking, im still drinking a shake a day, egg for breakfast, shrimp, deli meats, string cheese, chicken (but I cant eat much of this) should i go back to minced chicken for a while? I am exercising but not as much as i should be (ive had a cold for 4 days ) water intake is hard as i hate water!! so im doing vitamin water. anyone have any magical solutions id like to be 5lb down by the 30th (going on a cruise!)

    the dreaded three week stall!

OK so I knew it might happen, but hoped it wouldnt!! it has!! the dreaded 3 week stall, no weight loss for a week now so whats going on?!! I am consuming all my water, protein is up in the 70's i am exercising. Please someone give me some hope that this will end soon?? I have 5 weeks until I go on a cruise and really want to be 14lb down by then!! its very very frustrating (also not constipated!!) many thanks for any support or advice!
  16. hi omg!! i love the "new breasts" i know they are a replica but that is just the look i want! i am new to my journey (6 weeks) but I was a lightweight!! my bmi was 34. I have lost 26lbs and already my breasts are looking so sad and droopy so I know once I get to goal they will need uplifting!!! did you have surgery in amsterdam and was it expensive? I am british but live in the US and the prices here vary from state to state. so Im very interested! I have subscribed to your blog so will love hearing how things are going! congratulations!!!

i have to get this off my chest - part 6

i agree, this forum is about support, and we are all like-minded individuals who have all had problems in our lives which have led us to seek surgery, we dont just wake up and think "you know what today im going to get 3/4 of my stomach removed!!" what a totally ignorant comment by mokee.. i expect comments like this on facebook not on a forum which is designed to help and support each other. I am on another website which is to support partners who have been sexually abused as children (my husband was by his mum) and I often go off at a tangent on that site, but everyone knows you dont just have to discuss the abuse you can talk about anything, and I do!!! so reenalee keep posting we are listening and those that have no comprehension of that should not click on your blog!!

    One week after being sleeved.

hi I am 5 weeks out first week was a killer!! I smelt food and my mouth watered, my advice drink drink drink, get a good PPI (im on nexium) and essential good shakes! I did unjury & premier (very satisfying) Now im onto solids, I am really struggling to get in 500cals per day. I am topping up with 1 shake or a smoothy (with a scoop of protein in) once you go on to solids you will feel the restriction BIG TIME!!! I am 24lbs down and now loving my sleeve, hang in there it gets better, also the gherelin is still in your system. best of luck rachel.
  21. I just want to clarify I by no means suggested you go against your surgeons advice, but I did check and he advised me to eat deli chicken if I felt shaky/faint. I don't agree with cheating AT ALL!! and I did follow the liquid diet, including the three day clear liquids. It is clear from this forum that every surgeons requirements are different so check and do as you are told! I hope I cleared that up and that I am not some "random lady telling you to cheat!!" sorry Laura ven if your comment was not directed at me!
  22. I had some deli chicken, so I feel your pain, I did check with my surgeon as I was very shaky.. he said thin sliced chicken/turkey no fat at all and some salad (just a cup) it helped. keep going with the shakes they helped too. three days before I did the Clear liquids only and made sure I stuck to that. good luck!!
  23. getting nervous as I can start solids tomorrow!

I just took the shame out of this choice!

Oh my word amazing words!! And so true. I stopped telling people after some huge negativity!! I was weak.. Cheating.. all I need is willpower!! And a good gym! Ha if only my eating habits were that easily controlled!! I was looking into amphetamine based appetite suppressants (with the risk of all the major side effects) and I was like "Rachel what are you doing?!!"" I encountered one person yesterday ( I told my 3 closest friends here) I felt I had to as we eat out so much and knew they would be suspicious. 2 of my friends said how brave I was.. Very encouraging. The other one said not one single word & tried to change the subject!! I am still shocked & upset by this. We sleevers are brave and committed to giving up something we had a relationship with all our lives! We have made a decision to break an unhealthy habit which would eventually give us heart disease... Diabetes.. High blood pressure etc! How can this be the easy way out?!! It's not. I was also a daily consumer of alcohol (2 glasses every night!!) I am not missing this & I have never gone 4 weeks without! So I agree whole heartily that we are very very brave & it's not the cheats way out!!

    difficulty with pureed

hi everyone!! new to this particular site, but have had lots of great tips from searching different subjects so decided to join. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago, I am now coming to the end of my liquid only diet. I have really struggled to get all my water and protein shakes in. I am probably averaging 50fl oz of H20 and maybe 50g protein through my shakes. I am suppossed to start pureed I tried last night (some chicken salad wizzed up) but managed 2 tiny mouthfuls and felt nauseous, did this happen to anyone else? I am thinking I carry on for one more week with the liquids? this week i have stalled (but I hear the three week mark is legendary!!) any advice would be really helpful in trying to acomplish the h20 and protein requirements. I am stopping at the point when i have the pressure feeling in between rib cage and the gurgly sounds in my throat/lower oesophagus. rachel.
