I waited 2 weeks to get on a scale after surgery. I knew my stomach was swollen and I wanted to see some sort of drop. Glad I did

Protein -- i hate Unjury.
Everyone's taste is so different on shakes. I couldn't do the premier that a lot of people swear by. Pre-surgery I loved the syntax nectar. After surgery not so much but to be honest haven't had any since a few days out. May have to try again as I still have a few packages around. I do like the unjury both vanilla and chocolate but these days are not drinking shakes very often. Good luck with your journey!

When do you start losing weight?
Try to stay off the scale for a bit if you can. I lost 10 lbs in the 2 weeks before surgery but know I gained it all back & more from the gas and IV's in the hospital. I could barely button the shirt that I wore in to the hospital when I left. I only stayed 1 night. I waited til my 2 week follow up appointment at the Dr's office to weigh in and saw a loss then. After that I only weighed in once a week for at least 4 months. Good luck on your journey!

Combining your surgery with a Mexico vacation
How old are your kids? Keep in mind you may feel pretty crappy for a few days after surgery and may not feel like doing anything "fun" with them. I was in the hospital just the night of surgery but pretty much slept the next few days at home.

When did you go back to work?
I took 2 weeks off. Was just right for me. Everyone is different though. I do have a desk job but am running around the office a lot! Was back to working 50-60 hour weeks right away:( Probably could have gone back after 10-12 days but glad I had the full 2 weeks. Was taking afternoon naps right up until I went back. Good luck with your journey!

MY NY RESOLUTION
Congratulations on your journey thus far. I was just telling someone the other day it's so nice to NOT be making "go on a diet" as a New Year's resolution. It always got broken anyway
