    Implants

Hi everyone! I am a year and a half post surgery, I have met my goal weight. The problem is that my breasts have disappeared and what is left looks awful. Long story short I am having a breast augmentation next week. My question is.. The Dr gave me an "all natural" anti-inflamitory, is it safe to take? I know you aren't supposed to have NSAIDs but surely this would be ok?

Thank you! I had my sleeve done in Mexico so it's not so easy to ask questions! My plastic surgeon said it was ok but I'm not sure he knows a lot about sleeves.
  3. My surgery with Dr. Aceves was on April 25. I was 214 the day of surgery now I am 137. I am a completely different person. I am soooo happy that I had it done, I just wish it had been years ago. It makes me mad to think of all the good years I missed out on.

    Swallowing pills post op

My doctor told me that I could swallow pills 3 months out. He also said that it varied from person to person and if I thought I could do it sooner to go ahead. I crushed mine and took liquids for a month until I couldn't stand it any more. I started swallowing them and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

    Recovery time?

I flew to Mexico to have my surgery and had no problems on the flight back, even flew back a day early because I was so bored at the hospital. I went back to work after a week but wish I had waited two. Mostly because I was weak and tired.
  8. I was sleeved on 4/25 and am down 20 lbs. I stalled for 2 weeks but it finally looks like the scale is starting to budge a little.
  9. I have been counting both as my liquids! Darn, no wonder I've been at a stall for the past 6 days.
  10. This is a silly question, but are Protein shakes considered part of the 64 oz daily? Or are you supposed to drink 64 oz of Water plus the protein shakes?? Seems impossible!
  11. My Dr told me to start taking vitamins and supplements 10 days out. Today is my first day and I got the multivitamin down fine. I tried crushing the others and putting them in my protein drink..... Disgusting!!!!! Any suggestions?

    Vitamins?

The Dr suggested crushing them but I don't know how that's gonna work out. I'm kinda nervous about swallowing them! I haven't had anything solid yet. I guess I could try applesauce, like a baby haha
  13. I was sleeved 4/25 6 lbs pre op and 10 lbs post. I haven't lost anything for the last 5 days! I thought the loss would be more than that!

    Vitamins?

I am supposed to take the multi, iron, calcium citrate, b12 and zinc every third day for hair loss. There might be one more but I can't think of it right now.
  15. I'm in the same boat as you! I dropped weight at first but then at 6 days out I haven't budged. It's frustrating because I have done everything my Dr has told me to do! I'm trying not to get discouraged because I know it will happen but I'm starting to get upset. Otherwise I really feel pretty good and have no problems getting in my protein and fluids.

    SEX?

Does anyone know how long you are supposed to wait before having sex? I am one week post op and really don't have the energy ( or honestly the interest) but am curious how long everyone waited.

    SEX?

Okay, thanks! I just didn't know if there was any medical reason to wait...my husband asked me and I realized that I had no idea haha.

    one week post op =)

Congrats! That is an awesome weight loss!. I am one week out as well, I've gone from 230 to 214. I've been a bit worn out and the Dr told me to walk on the treadmill or outside for 15 minutes. I haven't tried it yet but he said it would actually help me be less tired.
  19. I am so nervous and excited! I fly tomorrow to Mexico for my surgery with Dr. Aceves. I was supposed to have my pre-op tests done on Thursday and surgery on Fri. They called to see if I would have the surgery Thurs afternoon. I was fine since it would give me another day in the hospital. I am a little worried about the flight back home and how I will be feeling. We live in Tennessee so it is a pretty long flight with a layover. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to make it easier or more comfortable? I really don't want to spend 4 hours in misery. Also, I have been curious about chewing gum, is it allowed after surgery? I think I would feel better if I could chew on something!

Whats the hardest part for you?!

Thank you so much for replying! It makes me so happy to hear that I will eventually be able to enjoy wine again! I have been in mourning for several weeks thinking that I would never be able to have another drink. I guess I didn't realize what would be added back into my diet. I am less than 2 weeks from my surgery and very excited. This week I plan on buying my Vitamins and liquids so I will have them ready when I get home. It is so hard to imagine what surgery and after will be like. I'm sure I will have to turn to this forum often to save my sanity!

Whats the hardest part for you?!

Thank you Stefanie, I will keep that in mind. I am very excited to have this done and my husband is very supportive. I do however have 2 teenage daughters that are not quite as supportive. They don't understand why I would take a surgical risk when I can diet and exercise.

Whats the hardest part for you?!

I am having VGS surgery on April 26. My biggest fear is the fact that all of me and my husbands socializing revolves around meals and eating out.(which is why I'm fat) I am worried about the life style change for both of us. I am also worried about the flabby skin and hair loss but I can deal with that when the time comes. Right now I have such mixed emotions, mostly excited but nervous that something will happen to me during surgery and my kids will suffer.
