Premier Protein bars are on sale a Costco right now, 18 for $15.
I like the EAS Rich Dark Chocolate best, but for 30 grams of protein, I do the Premier, too. It's a great way to knock out the bulk of my protein at one time. If you are like me and don't like the oversweetness of either, add a 1/3 cup of dried nonfat milk and blend. It adds protein and cuts the sweet. Makes it thicker, too.

Hmm.... I tried some pro-op and found it far too smoky and quite disgusting. Perhaps it was a different brand? I love jerky and I love bacon. I thought it sounded brilliant but the smell alone almost had me hurling.

After a month of preop and five days post, I am so glad to have lost most of my carb cravings. My best advice would be to start looking for ways to "redo" your favorites for a healthier you.
I look forward to feeding my family healthier alternatives of our favorites so they don't go through the same struggles I have most of my life. Their future health is half of the reason I had this surgery.
This is an awesome blog full of recipe ideas. I am still full liquids, but I can't wait to try out some of her ideas!

Sounds yum! I cook my meatloaf in a muffin pans so that they are cupcake sized. They cook much faster and everyone gets one with mashed tater "icing" and gravy "drizzle". They freeze fabulously at this size and make great individual quick meals.
I think I will try these in my mini muffin pan so I can pop myself out one or two once I get to full food stage. My kids will love the bacon in them!

On the pre-op dieting? GOOD FOR YOU!! I am doing the same thing. I figure that I am going to be the boss of me and I am going to make my decisions instead of the surgeon. If I cut the crap now, then I made a choice instead of having the choice made for me when the surgery is over. I think you are right on and I can't wait to hear of your progress.

Good luck to you! You are clearly a very strong woman and I can't wait to hear about your successes.
I am three week away as of today and I totally feel you as far as excitement! I never wish my days away, but I would happily put the next few weeks in fast forward.

Funny! I just posted a long winded topic about this moments ago. I say no, but I can only say that's the right thing *for me*.
