  1. I am at almost 4 weeks and I feel like I can eat anything as long as I chew well and eat slow. I had a sparerib from Famous Daves's today and it didn't bother me at all. I could have eaten more but I stopped myself. I even had some potato chips. I'm sure I could have eaten more but I stopped myself at 10. I think the sleeve will work for me as long as I use it the right way. I haven't had pizza yet but when I do' date=' I plan in eating the topping and nit the bread. I do feel the restriction when I'm full. Do you feel that?[/quote']

I lost the restriction feeling about 3 1/2 wks unto surgery, I'm not sure if its bcuz I can chug more than half a Water bottle at a time... I hope not but I think I may have stretched my stomach already n I'm scared of that :-(

  2. Does anyone feel like they can eat anything at 5wks??? I was just sleeved 5wks ago on April 1st n apparently I can eat anything now n I get hungry more often then what I see on here :-( I don't think it's working for me cuz the scale doesn't move but ok my co-workers say they notice it (although they don't know) they think I'm just dieting really good. I'm scared imma be a failure ;-( I had pizza at 4wks it was only half a slice n this past wkend I had another party n I was able to eat a whole slice if I wanted to but I left the crust (they aren't huge slices but still) I see peeps on here eating half a cup of tuna or less n for lunch I have a cup is that normal? Scared n frustrated HELP PLEASE what r ur opinions???

  3. Thank you everyone for all the positive feedback I will try to work on my patience although its super hard to be patient lol. But it's true I didn't gain all this weight in a month so I shouldn't expect to lose so much in a month. I did forget to take measurements the day before surgery

I love the slow n steady wins the race I will definitely keep that in mind

Thank you all for ur support

  4. Hi guys! I had my surgery on April 10th and have been doing pretty well. Today I drank my 11 ounce protien drink on my 45 minute drive to work and then a few hours later had a 6 ounce yogurt. Is this too much at a sitting? Am I stretching my sleeve out? I feel like I shouldn't be able to tolerate that much' date=' but I can and I have zero symptoms from it. I can't tolerate near that quantity of solid food, I had a tiny piece of fish for dinner and had maybe four or five small bites before I felt done. Thoughts? Thanks![/quote']

Shelly I too feel the same way n was wondering if my stomach had stretch which I'm scared of. I was sleeved 10 days before you on 4/1

  5. I have a desk job n work 8-4:30, here's what I've been doing:

Breakfast I start shortly after I start work about 8:15-30 and I usually have 6oz of the chobani Greek yogurt it takes me about 45 min to an hr to finish it. Then I have lunch at 11:30 but usually don't start eating till closer to noon so far I'm still on soft food n I'm lazy to prepare so I've been eating tuna n 4 crackers I eat about 2oz of tuna. I like tuna so I'm not tired of it yet. Then about 2or 3pm I have a snack like cottage cheese doubles 100 calories or string cheese. N dinner I have about 2oz of chicken in the can, or lentils, or ground turkey

I still haven't gotten tired of soft foods yet I know there r more options but this is what's easier for me

  6. Thanks for posting this n for all the great responses n motivation. I was sleeved on 4/1 I will be 3wks post op tomorrow and I've stalled big time I weigh my self every sat morning n on 4/6 I had lost 11.5 lbs on sat 4/13 I only lost 1.5 lbs n yesterday 4/20 I gained a pound n I was feeling sooo bummed n depressed bcuz I'm really following my diet too. I also added my exercise in my routine last wk. I hope I get over this ASAP

    Thanks for all the responses

  7. I took a screen shot of my doctor's recommendations. Hope it helps. (This is the first time I've attached a picture here so I hope it works!)

Laura like I said u r one lucky woman lol but yes fleets would be my choice too.

Melody that's great next time ill look into these recommendations first prior to fleets but I'm glad fleets took all of 5min to work but I read its not best to use often I will be using miralax too

  8. Lol I'm married to a PA who works in the ER

So in the early days he would tell me when I got impacted "we have two choices enema or I can slip on a glove and manually disimpact you"

    <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

Oh boy that does not sound like fun but u r lucky u have a very helpful husband ;-) I cannot bare the though of someone manually helping me lol or even discuss it with anyone I know. I felt desperate and am happy for this site has many great people like u who r helpful n understanding

  9. Ok I had to give in and use fleet enema. It still hurt but at least it worked a lil. I'm not 100% but I sure do feel much better

I bought fleet enema, Fiber n more miralax... Can I do Fiber n Miralax together?

Chris I'm still on my soft foods diet on Monday I will be 3wks post op so I don't think I can add kashi golean crunch to my diet yet :-( so I will try the orange fiber stuff

Butterfly ill try they squatting thing too

    Thanks for all your advice

  10. Thanks I'm going to be 3 wks out on Monday n I've been like this for like 3-4 days now and I haven't even lost any weight :-(

My doctors off is closed during the wkend but I'm going back to the drug store today or gonna try more miralax I'm desperate at this point

Oh n I drink well over my 64 oz of Water a day but I don't know what's going on :-(

  11. I cannot do soft/pureed foods until 4/21. I also seemed to be stalling. I am going to try to increase my liquids. I still drink so' date=' so slow. I have lost 14 pounds. What kind of foods are you eating?[/quote']

I've been eating tuna w/lite mayo, string cheese, egg, (I had a quarter piece of salmon on Sunday), Soups, cottage cheese, milk, Greek yogurt (trying to get use to it, not too fond of it but trying to get my Protein in that way) lol and that's about it for now I wanna try the recipes my nutritionist gave me

    Wow the 21st n u were sleeved on the 1st ?

  12. I kinda have a pre-op diet. On the Saturday before surgery I have to drink magnesium citrate. Which I guess cleans you out. Then on Easter Sunday I can only have clear liquids.

I have to be at the hospital at 6am' date=' then surgery is scheduled at 7:30.

How about you, what is your dr having you do?[/quote']

Wow I had to so 2 wks of Protein shakes prior to my surgery on 4/1 everything went well I started soft foods on 4/11 but honestly I think I've stalled. I have only lost 13lbs. How r u guys doing with weight loss?
