  1. I was going to call the insurance tomorrow.
  2. I'm just curious how long it to everyone to get insurance approval? I just submitted mine and thanks to a fellow Sleever I will call to confirm it was submitted correctly!
  3. I'm not sure how long it takes...some people I have spoken with get theirs approved within 48-72 hours. I wonder what's the longest someone has had to wait.....ugh!! LOL but as they say good things come to those who wait
  4. I finally did it!!!! I completed my six month weight observation, per my insurance, now my paper work has been sent in!!!! Now I'm just patiently waiting...ok maybe impatiently waiting for my approval!! I can't wait!!!
  5. Oh I love this thread!! Here is my list: 1. Be able to ride comfortably in my car, with the seat belt on! 2. Be able to buy something I love, not just something that fits. 3. Unpack all my old clothes! 4. Purchase a new mattress and get rid of the one I purchased last year that has ready "sunk in" on my side. 5. My husband be able to pick me up. 6. Go hang out with the other mommy's without feeling like I take up the whole table. 7. Wear boots!! Real knee high sexy boots!! 8. Buy a pair of nice designer jeans! 9. Take my daughter to Disney world and the beach! 10. Be able to wear my wedding rings!! I love them so much but I never wanted to have then sized.
  6. Every insurance is different but mine required to actually complete the last month, so that would probably put you into August.
  7. It's more than likely dermabond, it's basically surgical superglue. My advice don't remove it, we apply it in surgery many times to help the wound stay sealed and free from infection. It will slowly wear off, and it's a lot better than steri-strips. Also if removed to soon, your incision could become weak and sometimes lead to a nasty scar. Hope this helps and good luck!
  8. I have not had surgery yet, but people are always coming up to me and asking how I get such long, thick, and shiny hair...I would look at them seriously and say I stick to a strict diet (bahhaha), then snicker as I am waddling away
  9. I'm interested in doing crossfit after my surgery. Has anyone tried this and what were your results? Did you have any complications and how soon did you start after surgery?
  10. I have BCBS highmark, I am in the last month of my 6m supervised diet, my weight has yo-yo back and forth. My insurance said my BMI had to stay above a 40 the entire time, I am a 41BMI so I really couldn't lose a lot. I had blood test, psych eval, TNE scope, and monitored diet by my dr. I file all the papers next month, so fingers crossed!!
  11. I very much agree with you! I'm a newbie and granted love reading the success stories, but realistically everyone is different. I know some people will probably disagree with me, but I could care less about the scale. I want to be healthy!!! I want to be able to walk without being short of breath, and play outside with my daughter. As long as i am fit, and healthy that's all that really matters. I know it's hard work but with this tool I can accomplish some realistic goals
  12. Congrats!!!!! So excited for you
  13. You look wonderful!!! Such an inspiration!! I see the surgeon next month
  14. Thanks everyone! After speaking with my husband and family. I'm going to go ahead with my surgery...my family said what will be, will be, and I need to take care of myself and get healthy!!
  15. I need advice....my grandfather has become very ill. I am very close to my grandfather and help take care of him. My surgery was tentatively scheduled for late June. Should I go ahead with the surgery or postpone it? How long will my recovery be ? Thanks everyone #heavyheart

  17. Wearing my wedding ring Being able to run Going to Water aerobic classes Riding a bike Wearing knee high boots Shopping at normal stores Wearing necklaces Fitting in my stylist chair Going on a cruise to Alaska Hiking Buying smaller underwear!!
  18. I haven't had surgery yet so I can't speak from experience, but I do work in the medical field.I know your body is going through a healing process and you could have some fluid retention. But on the brighter side you lost 5lbs!!!! That's great!!
  19. Do you feel hungry all the time drinking them? That's what I'm worried about. Being very hungry and eating while drinking a shake :-/ and gaining more weight. I hope that makes sense....
