  1. Best of luck to you girl!! I'm having surgery in Huntsville with Dr Suggs
  2. I hope I'm with you!!! I'm approved just waiting on my surgery date (which they are suppose to schedule next week) so fingers crossed I will be a July sleever!!
  3. I'm a seasoned traveler that travels extensively for work & my brother works for the airlines;) Here are my suggestions should you be doing this "alone" contact the airlines notify them that you will need a shuttle and wheelchair. They airline will provide you with someone to help you to your destination, and have an airport shuttle meet you at your gate and take you were you need to go. Also, notify the gate when you arrive the flight attendants will board you first as well as any carry on you have, just be sure to let them know of any assistance you will need. That is what they are there for I hope this helps:)
  4. That exact same thing happen to me and it took the mail a week to get my letter!!
  5. YAY!!! Maybe we will be Sleevers together!! I'm waiting on my date but due to the holiday I have to wait till next week...ugh!

  7. In the beginning I consider getting the band, bc a few people I knew had done OK on it. I enrolled in the lapband forum to do research. Today for curiosity I checked out the forum again. One thing I noticed was that most people were unhappy, had only lost 50lbs a year just to regain it all back. This helped settle my nerves; I had been worried I was making the wrong decision, but now I'm more determined than ever
  8. I noticed everyone getting collagen powder, what does this help?
  9. What vitamins did you purchase? I don't know if I will be able to chew any vitamins....yuck!
  10. I'm going to ask my NUT about these. They sound great no sugar, no carbs, and 50g protein!
  11. I am awaiting my date of surgery but the scheduler assumed it would be around the 15th. What all did you guys stock your pantry with, and what supplies did you purchase to have on hand. I bought a new scale, food scale, and isopure zero carb protein powder. Along with some chicken, vegetable, and beef stock. What else should I do? Thanks and I'm SO ready to get this surgery scheduled and begin losing weight. I've turned into a hermit!
  12. Deb is right my maximum was $150. So that's all I paid but I had a credit with the hospital and I only owe $101.00
  13. So I was approved last week for surgery. But my doctor is on vacation this week so they will not schedule any appointments, then next week the scheduling coordinator is going to be on vacation. Soooo I have to wait two more weeks until they even schedule me! This is torture! But I'm grateful I was approved.
  14. Okay, thanks for the site. I will give them a try!
  15. What is your favorite protein powders and why what make them special? Also do you prefer medical grade protein?
  16. Ok, I totally get it now!!! I am having head-hunger all the time (pre-op). It's as though I have a clock/timer in my head that say ok it's noon time to eat, but my stomach is not growling. How do you guys control this post op? Any suggestions
