Laura-those are both very nice names. Kat-good to see you made it back! I hope you continue to be able to get down solid food. Get this...Macy had homework tonight. Homework for kindergarten class. Un-freakin-believable! 3 pages of homework no less! Last week she had a yellow card (a warning) for making noise in class. Well, yesterday I asked her if she was going to get green cards(good days) all 4 days this week and she said, "no I really don't think so mom." When I asked her why? She says, "cause I really wanted to make some noise." Kids...you gotta love the honesty, right?! lol Today she had yellow again. This time for not following instructions. I remember my kindergarten being naps & graham crackers and playing! Have a great evenig violets! Pamela & Jane....did you look to see what happened to the veto? I cheated but I am kinda sad cause I think I know now who will be leaving:sad_smile:

Laura-I like Lily. Macy was going to be Bailey then my mom reminded me of her grandma Macy....and as soon as I heard the name, I knew that was going to be her name. There are too many blakes and conners. If dd had been a ds his name would have been steven. My neice is due in Sept and she is naming her baby girl Kyndel. I thought that was cute. I have another neice named Madison and Mykayla. I am sure you and dh will find some common ground somewhere! Judy-we are fine. Gustav is ging through now in Grand Isle. I am so worried about my friends! They are saying we could get some flooding rain in the next day or 2. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning folks~ Hope everyone is doing good. I hope all is OK with Terry! Just sitting here watching the weather channel! I wish the storm would just go away but I know it isn't. Alot of peoples lives are going to be in ruins within a day or so and it is a helpless feeling. Please remember the gulf coast in your prayers! I have friends scattered from here all the way to the Alabama coast. I am so worried about all of them and for us too. I am stress eating too. I am just gonna try to avoidthe kitchen all together but it is a tough thing to do when you have a little one! Have a great day everyone! Pamela-how old is Klaus? I just love rotties! Jane-i am gonna send your book back in a day or 2. Thank you for sending it to me. I know what my problem is AND I know how to fix it. Now all I have to do is DO it. I really do appreciate you sending it to me though. That was very sweet. I thought maybe I could get into it but I just could not get that BLAH BLAH out of my head! I have heard all of it before. lol

Now...here I am, still. lol DH and I decided that we would just wait longer and see what happens with the storm. We still have our reservations though. We did go to moms and help them pack and board up windows. They are on the road headed west right now. The sad part is all of the Louisiana license plates....I mean head north or something folks!! If the Texas coast ends up evacuating we better hope to God the LA folks are outta the way!! Why they headed this way is beyond me! That makes as much sense as TX folks going to LA to evacuate. Anyway, I hope we do not end up regretting our decision to stay longer. I will keep you all posted about what happens! Haydee-be safe sweetie!

Well guys, here's the story.... Since we (my parents and us) have rooms reserved for tomorrow until God knows when for evacuation purposes, we have talked it over and we are more than likely just gonna go tomorrow. Worst case scenario is calling it a vacation instead if an evacuation, ya know? They have not even called for a voluntary evacuation yet but IF it comes here it sure will be nice to be ahead of the traffic! I really like the idea of watching the traffic on TV from our hotel instead of being part of the traffic, sitting there in gridlock, in the heat, running out of gas, listening to Macy complain, needing to pee, thinking, "man, we could have left yesterday". So....I will post in the morning before we leave. What are everyones plans for Labor Day? Kat-((((hugs)))) prayers to you! Judy-glad things are calmed down for your ds. I know you must be somewhat relieved. Laura-tell your mom that now there will be 2 write in votes for mickey. Hers and MINE! LOL Everyone have a great evening, k?
