  1. I just went through this w AT&T. Get in touch w/ them. You have to add an intl plan for a month $30 for 800 min. Turn off roaming and just use wifi for email/Internet.
  2. Are you all on myfitnesspal? Is really like to stay in contact with other Dr. Kelly patients. My big day is coming up! I could use support on the meal planning. My handle is getnsleeved2013.
  3. Preaching to the choir girlfriend. I say EFF them! We all make our own decisions for various, personal reasons. So long as the choice is for yourself, and not for someone else, it's the right decision.
  4. Pear juice, great suggestion!!
  5. OMG. You are brave. That usually gives me the scoots. I'm gonna try aloe juice.
  6. I'm doing my pre-op liquid and I am looking for advice on how to alleviate constipation. I'm drinking water. . I'm jot supposed to take supplements or pills for these next two weeks. Would a softener really hurt my stomach?
  7. One of my fears is that my post-sleeved body will feel nauseous and sick all the time. Is this common?
  8. June 10, like NikNak!
  9. OhYeah! Ready made is off the hook. Bariatric Pantry does not combine shipping, but Amazon does. <3
  10. The man at AT&T said its a monthly rate, even if I cancelled.
  11. Does San Diego have a currency exchange booth? Did anyone purchase a MX trac phone during their stay. I'm not paying the inflates rates from AT&T. Thanks.
  12. Have you spoken to surgeons in the U.S.? I ask because I also thought the same. After the surgeon my PCP referred me to denied me, I decided to shop around. So, I spent the $500 to consult w/ two surgeons in the U.S. I was shocked that while the cost for the surgeon was comparable to MX, it was the hospitals that blew it out of the budget. A min deposit of $20k for one night in the hospital was insane and made me sad. There's something wrong with our healthcare system. If cash paying patients can't get a discount in our own country, it forces us to go elsewhere for medical care. Just make sure you have a board certified surgeon. I chose one that is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
  13. Started sippin today to prep for June 10th surgery date. I bought the ready to drink OhYeah! Shakes. I found Syntrex Nectar to be ok...I let mine fit for about 10 min before I drink it so I'm not surprised by slime in my mouth. Yuck!
  14. I went to GNC, Costco, and Walgreens to find chewable or liquid calcium citrate and I'm totally confused. There are so many versions out there, but I could only find cal citrate in pill form. Does anyone have any suggestions on a brand and/or where to buy it?
  15. I have a question for the recent Dr. Kelly patients. Did you do liquids two weeks or just clear liquids the week before. My phone consult had different instructions than the packet. I supposed two weeks couldn't hurt, just curious on your experience.
  16. I had a problem with Lora receiving my itinerary. Call her. I can give you her cell if you don't have it. She's also on Facebook.
  17. Question: what brand of chili are you eating? I tried trader joes and got terrible heartburn. I'm pre-op, so I can only imagine it would be worse post-op. suggestions?
  18. WOW. I didn't even think about the bra situation.
  19. I'm not really an expert and I'm pre-op, but have you tried chewable papaya tablets? I used to have horrible acid reflux and it really helped me to take it just before meals.
  20. Yay, me too! I go on June 10th. I can't wait. Lets stay in contact so we can help each other through this process!
  21. I'm scheduled for June 10th w Dr. Kelly in Mexico. I'm getting nervous.
  22. Cindy, keep us updated on your experience!
  23. Amazing green is super good. I bought a sample pack, but I had a allergic reaction to something in it. It was tasty though and I would recommend. The chai was pretty good.
  24. Good luck with your decision. I was set on Almanza, then I spoke to some patients of Dr. Kelly. I researched him, researched the hospital, researched the type on instruments used and after a consultation with the engineers I know in med device, I am satisfied with Dr. Kelly. I'm going on June 10th. I'll let y'all know how things go!
