Dont let ANY ONE undermine your commitment!! Do this for you!! Connie
  3. I absoultly love the Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds" DVD's !!! She has all levels as well as strength training, ect...... 3 years ago on my on I lost 78 lbs and part of it was due to her walk tapes. Since WLS I have ordered newer versions of her DVD's and begun them. I enjoy being outside as well, but her express workouts are great!! Thanks, Connie:whoo:

  9. Hi All.......... I go tomorrow for my first 6 week out fill. This morning I gained a pound and a half, although my calorie intake remains well under 1000 per day, usually around 800. I keep a food journal and make sure I get plenty of protien, lo carbs, ect.... Is this the norm before you get your first fill?? Its kinda of frustrating to come from eating as much as I was before surgery to this amount and have a gain!!:help:
  10. That so exciting!! I hope everything goes well!! C/C
  11. Hey Guys; Sounds like we all were banded around the same time, I was banded 10/29/2007. About 2 weeks out I discovered I could eat way more than I shoud be. I spoke with my bariactric nurse and she said this was normal as it was a sign of healing and the swelling going down inside, which is a good thing!! She said just to hold on and try real hard to focus, eat small portion, good for you food until my first fill!! I've done that. My first fill is 12/11/07. next week.I cant wait. C/C
  12. My Port incision is only 1 1/2 inches. I had 2 hernias repaired during my proceedure. C/C

  17. I was so excited at the prospect of having my surgery, thats all I yacked about until I had it, to any one who would listen to me. So pretty much everyone is sick of hearing about Connie's Lap-Band!! ha ha I was suprised at a couple of my close family members who have been a little snide at times about my having it. Oh well I did this for me as I was totally sick of being FAT, SICK, and Unattractive..............all my life!! Tell everybody. Tell nobody. Tell a few bodies.........its your band!! C/C
  18. HI All........ Thru it all I have kept my coffee. 2 cups in the morn and 2 in the eve w/ splenda and small amount of powder cream. My doctor said it was not a problem, just limit the creamer. C/C

This week I lost 6.5 lbs and it mainly due to my keeping a very accurate food journal. I also seem to get gas trapped and feel bloated. Tha "Gax-X" dissolvable strips work great for this!! Its normal to feel "OH Lord What Have I Done??" But it passes also!! Good Luck to you and hang in!! C/C

  25. It souds as if I wrote all these posts. I was banded 10/29/07 and for the first week or so I was thrilled that such a small amount of food did the trick. But this last week and a half I seem to stay hungry. My bariactric nurse said to hang in until my first fill Dec. 11. So I journal all my food and watch my portions, and eat Protein and Fiber and very little carbs. Connie
