  4. I cried the first few times too. The first thing I purchased after losing wt was undies from Victoria Secret. The sales lady asked me what size I wear, and I said, "I don't knnnooowww." And starting crying. Haha. "Don't worry. I'll help you... You look like either a medium or large. We have XL, but you definitely won't fit those." ... And then I starting crying again. LOL
  5. Oh, I'm sure my husband is dreading the disgusting amount of money I'll be spending on shoes once I reach goal. I'm walking out of my heels now (but I'm just excited to be able to wear heels again)!!!!
  6. I'm with you- still seeing myself as larger. I think that's why buying these clothes were so important now. Now I can actually see my figure, and be proud of where I am.... Over 80 lbs down, and from a size 24/22 to a 12. I'm glad my husband stepped in and told me I looked ridiculous wearing larger sizes. Lol.
  7. It's normal to stall around week 2-3. Don't get discouraged.
  8. I find myself wandering into the plus size section- and then getting redirected by some sales associate- which always makes me laugh. I've held out on not buying for as long as possible with the exception of undergarments (I may have gone a little overboard at Victorias Secret). But it's a blast to walk into a store and know I can fit something in there.
  9. Do any of y'all - not quite at goal- find it difficult to buy clothing?? I've been shopping like crazy, but buying nothing. I finally cleaned out my closet last week (which was much more emotional than I thought it'd be), and I now have a grand total of 3 short sleeve shirts, one long sleeve shirt, and one jean (which is either being worn or washed). Yesterday my husband brought me shopping and forced- yes, FORCED (LOL) me to buy clothing. I bought a total of 4 pieces of clothing- which somehow it still messed with my head. (One being a flattering pencil skirt from The Limited in size 12- 12!! I've never in my life seen that size in my closet!) I guess at size 12, I shouldn't still be trying to wear 18s. LOL.
  10. I had bloodwork (CBC, BMP, H pylori) and a chest X-ray and EKG.
  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Yesterday was my birthday, and this is what I had: (It was wonderful and didn't make me feel sick or guilty)
  12. Oh the dreaded "can't you do it by yourself?" Or "it's the easy way out." Yes, try obsessing over anything you put in your mouth, count/measure/weigh every bite of food. Count calories, carbs, Protein, Water intake. Exercise 2 hours a day. Research everything you do like a mad scientist .. And then tell me if this is easy. Lol.
  13. Sorry, posted before I could finish/edit--1st time using the app... But seriously, wth is wrong w/ ppl!? What's the craziest comment/question y'all have gotten about your wt?
  14. No joke, I got this question (or a variation if the question) at least 8 times in the last 3 weeks... Wtf!?!
  15. I work m/s, tele, triage and I took about 6 weeks off. It was pretty much perfect.
  16. I don't think its "normal"... But it sounds pretty good!
  17. LOVE the last pic-- you look like you mean business! Congrats!
  18. Great NSV! Congrats! What made me happy today??? Well, my A/C was broken (not happy), but I didn't sweat at all (happy!). Before I would've been found fanning myself in a puddle of sweat shoveling ice cream into my mouth.
  19. I know.. It's killing me! lol **dramatic** But seriously, yes, I want to upload pics & write in my blog-- a therapist is too expensive..
  20. Thanks! Basics of my eating: -3 meals (2-3 oz), 2 snacks(1-2oz)... (my Dr would like 1, but I tend to have low blood sugar after this sx) - min of 65g Protein. I average between 80-100 g/day. - min of 60 oz Water - I eat mostly meat, veggies, and dairy. And some fruit and nuts. - I had stopped protein supplements but started again when I started shedding (I panicked; it just made me feel better, lol. My Dr. laughed when I told him that.) - I also have chosen to avoid all bread/pasta/rice etc. I've been very happy with that decision- I thought it'd be more difficult. I wish the blog/ pic would work bc these details would be in there w/ pics of my food! (Sorry, Mini rant) Exercise: 1-2 hours a day except Saturday- nothing extreme . And I might skip a day here and there if I had a particularly long shift at work. I was also down around 40 lbs around week 8, similar to you.
  21. Thanks y'all!!! I'm 4' 11" Starting weight: 240 lbs (highest weight 245) VSG on 6/11/13 Current weight: 165 lbs. size: who knows?? Lol
  22. That's all I had to do as well. No complications here.
  23. This past week made 4 months since my vertical sleeve gastrectomy.... Sometimes I can't believe it's real. As of 2 days ago, I am 75 lbs down since my surgery weight. And I feel FANTASTIC! This is absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself. PS: Are y'all still getting the error messages for blogs / gallery??. I'm just dying to update! LOL I have pics of what I've been eating as well as some NSV pics that I can't wait to share.
