  1. I do drink with the sleeve but my weight loss came to a halt when I started drinking. Of course I can't drink like I use to but still try!
  2. I am 56 and have started dating a lot. The thing is not wanting the men to know I was ever heavy.
  3. I read on here that a guy at pasta post op and died because it caused a leak and they couldn't stop it.
  4. How long does the hair loss last. I am 3 1/2 months and really starting to lose. I bought the nioxin shampoo I am thinking about putting in extensions. Please send suggestions.
  5. Oh honey it gets better. I lost my job the day before surgery. It was a blessing because I couldn't get out of bed for 6-7 weeks. Take it easy and do the best you can. I never got everything in either. I'm 3 months out and 65lbs down but I sure did regret it for a long time.
  6. I have donated all of my business clothes to a "dress for sucess" program. At least they will be appreciated.
  7. I had neck pain it did go away. I took 6 weeks to feel better and back to normal.
  8. Thank you for the post. I am 3 months out and have found myself snaking on carbs for the first time this weekend. I got on this site for some support to get me back on track. Thank you!
  9. I was the same way. Couldn't move from bed until 7 weeks. It gets better. Promise.
  10. I noticed the same thing. I was sleeved 3 days before you..
  11. I would vomit if I took one of my medications because I was taking it on an empty stomach.
  12. You all are doing great. I am 8 weeks and am still struggling to get 40 some ounces.
  13. I don't believe it is ketosis. I had the Same problem and was sleeved on 3/26. I was tested when I ended up in the ER for dehydration and wasn't in ketosis yet. I have been in ketosis and it is a different taste. I described this as a metallic taste. My doctor thought it was a Vitamin deficiency ( i think zinc) but I never tested because it got better. I still can't stand the taste of Water. I water down crystal light lemonade or get the diet chick fil la lemonade. It will get better around 5-6 weeks.
  14. I fully intended on returning one week out. It took me 6 weeks to feel like I could handle going back. Before surgery you can't imagine why you can't go back ....oh just wait. It's not the pain it is about energy.
  15. Sleeved on 3/26 and down 42 lbs. I have gone from a tight 18W to 16 regular size. How exciting to be able to shop in the main women's dept. I too had a very rough start with this surgery and had so much regret. Well there is no going back so we must embrace and make the best of a great "tool". While recovering in bed, I tore the cartledge in my knee, go figure. Surgery is set for next month so I haven't been able to exercise. Water and protein are a huge struggle and I never get enough of each.
  16. My doctor yesterday told me that we will only loose 60-80% of what we need to loose. I am worried. I am 7 weeks out. Although it sounds like you all are hitting your goals. How are you doing it?
  17. Oh this is such a normal feeling. I posted the exact message many times. I threw up daily and regretted the surgery. Then I read a post of a girl who was regretting surgery and said she had nothing to live for. Everyone told her that there is no going back and look to the future. I took the advice at 5 -6 weeks. I went that day to have a mani /pedi and started feeling better. I haven't looked back. I am now seven weeks out with a 42 lb loss and am finally happy and don't regret the surgery anymore. Feel better, this too shall pass.
  18. Oh my yes, I am right there with you. I had surgery on 3/26 and didn't do anything for 6 weeks. This week if I do something I have to lay down afterwards. Probably a habit at this point. I don't exercise because my knee is mess up post surgery. Hang in there. I got a mani /pedi last weekend and felt like a new person.
