Throughout my whole 6 month process I was never told once to loose weight. Once I started my 6 months before I too felt like its going to be my last time eating i gained 28lbs. Once I started I couldnt stop omg I couldnt wait to do this to stop my insanity. Now that I had the surgery, I dont feel like im never not going to eat again, trust me we probably could. Good luck to you remember you are so not alone .

I have seen some people on this board that have had them, but my surgeon used no catheter no drain. Thank god!

Aha great question, one I zipped to in my doctors hand outs , It says no sex till week three. I am a week out tomoro did I listen? Well no I feel ok I mean I wasnt swinging on the chandelier, but I got things done. and no I didnt get a binder either. Good luck to you hope this helps.

Hard to believe tomoro will be a week its so clear it feels like yesterday. Im ok stomachwise today I ransacked my house I think I overdid it because by my largest insicion im having an internal tug and a new sweet black and blue. Havent had any real pain to talk about I hope it passes.

Ughh I feel like you, not with the craving im 5 days post op and I dont feel restricted! Did I just have stomach surgery????????? Weds 1st appt with doc, Idn I stop myself but for breakfast I make myself oatmeal I stop at a few mouthfuls only beause I think its what I should do not because I feel full. In hospital had no appetite now, I am actually getting pains in stomach if i go to long without eating for 4 hours. FML!

I couldnt stay faithful to my preop, had alot of problems with the shakes but I would substitute by having maybe egg whites or grilled chicken one time a day and a shake. Weightwise suprising I didnt drop alot of weight even though it was a huge calorie defficiency. But almost a week out of surgery surprising I did ok. No I dont expect this number every week but thank god the scale did move. Stick to your plan your weight will come off at some point. It has too, the science is all there.

Idn I never lost any after having my child. Out too soon to tell here.

Well I cant believe I did this !!!!!!!!!! I dont want to freak any one out, but it was the worst pain I ever felt post op for about 10 minutes than thats it ? KIND OF WIERD. The surgery is no joke , but after that waking up bs was over with and the nurses figuered out what to give me the pain part was kind of non existant. After day one they take the auto pump away lol. But honestly you dont need any more or at least I didnt .I use the percocets to sleep at night thats about it, not for pain. On to day two the dreaded test, I had no trouble with that, the consistancy of liquid is gross but doable so off to liquids, Liquids went well I passed so far so good next the tray of pureed foods no go I got so nauseous of course I started to cry , lol cant help it hate to puke but the nurses taught me a trick when you feel nauseous smell an alcahol prep and it kills it right there. So instead of going home they keep me one extra day. At 300am in the middle of nowhere I decide to sip a medicine cup of water and bam nausea again so I cried again lol but I didnt vomit. and day three tried more pureed foods and did better. So today is day 4 I am proud of myself I drank all day hit my 65 ounces had an entire can of tomato soup at one time, then I dont want to sound gross right to the camode. Everything I have goes right through me , but no complaints , had over 40 grams of protein and wound up back in the freakin ER. My leg blew up and was killing me it turns out its a superficial clot not the kind that can kill you so they say , hope not . Its been quite a few days my god im glad its done. does anyone out there think its wierd I can drink so much. Its mostly liquids I take in the pureed food is like a teaspoon and a half at a time but idn, any input would be much appreciated.

I feel pain and redness and heat its superficial so you cant miss it my leg is swollen nicely . Its kind of hard to miss.

Oh jeez, I had the same day but I never had a drain, im doing well but i nap alot. I hope you find your place and start to recouperate it isnt an easy surgery and I left my oxygen and support hose in the hospital , but I got a clot. Take it one day at a time it can change everything. I hope you feel better soon.

Ha Ha My tattoo on my rib says that it takes a while hang in there you can do this I felt like a new person in a span of 24 hours

Oh and no knock wood have not had nausea had an egg for breakfast soft boiled 10 oz of water, 24 ounces of ice water and now tomato soup.

yes they had me on heparin injections my right side looks like purple marble from the lovly bruises. In the hospital they gave me a shot to overcome my nausea but it was fast and as soon as they shoved alcohol prep near my nose it was ok. Yes it takes me all day but i can sip 65 ounces. do I have a sleeve?

Only out 5 days have felt like that from day one.

In hospital the first night they had us walking every two hours even during the night they would come wake us up keep walking I hope you feel better soon.

LMAO moms are the best I adore mine. protein shake, my mom made me poulverized chicken vegetable soup, I eat egg whites may try a soft boiled egg tomoro have a craving, I have heard people had refried beans with lofat sour creme but im afraid of gas right nowbut you can try. maybe some hummus,oatmeal, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes , mashed broccoli or cauliflower like mashed potatoes taste very good, not too many carbs. Hope it helps just a few suggestions.
