    Depression and anxiety

The surgery helped me so much. I never felt any depression or anxiety after. I did feel nervous and scared the day leading up to the surgery. I’m 5yrs post going on 6 and started to feel anxiety when I became a mom like pretty bad at times just because I’m a big over thinker and I adore my little girl and worry so much but it has nothing to do with the surgery.

    The Fat Kid

Good luck excited for you!! Hope you have a easy and speedy recovery. Remember to sip and sip some water that really does help.
  3. I was born weighing 10 and 1/2 lbs and was always big lol. My highest was 280 and lowest 140 which I was happy with. I had my surgery 4 almost 5 years ago and I have not gone back to my prior weight

    endoscopy

I was awake while in the room while they prepped me and positioned me on my side then I knocked out. They told me it took no more than 15min. I woke up within 10min after. I felt like I had been asleep way longer and I looked beat up from my eyes. I looked horrible they said I gagged so much that I was actually pushing with my hands of course I don’t remember I was knocked out. My marks on my face lasted about 5 days. I was not allowed to drive after so I had someone with me because of that.

Clear liquid diet day before surgery

I was told no Gatorade into after surgery but only a certain Gatorade and it had to be diluted with water.
  6. In the gray/green was 3 months after gastric sleeve. And in the white was 11 months later. I maintained that weight for the last 4 years. The last 7 months I started to graze and gained a few lbs since I became a stay at home mommy with my 1 1/2 yr old but I’m back on track with working out and eating clean to get rid these few lbs.

    Sleeve or Bypass?

I got the sleeve 4 years ago. It was best for me personally. I still feel restriction so I can’t eat too much but I became a stay at home mommy and started to graze I’ve stopped that though. Also with the sleeve you can enjoy something sweet once in a while with no dumping syndrome. The recovery was easy and fast. My hair fail off but not too much since 4 months before surgery my Nut had me on 10k of biotin so I think that helped. I had no acid reflux no gerd. Again this is from my personal experience everyone’s is different. Good luck!

    Getting sleeved tomorrow!

Woohoo congrats on your surgery!! At least you’ll have some rest soon and have some broth and sugar free popsicles. That’s whet they gave me lol. 4 years ago it was me I was so excited and nervous. It is so worth it.
  9. Thank you all so much! I emailed my old dietician.
  10. Antlerdancer It really is hard once you have fail back into old habits. I have been wanting to get back “on track” I continued to say ok I’m going to start tomorrow just like before surgery and I didn’t lol. But my clothes fitting me extra tight did it for me. I refuse to gain more weight and have to buy a bigger size. I want to get fit.

    None of Your Business!

I told everyone at work I got a hernia remove (which was part of the gastric sleeve surgery so not total lie lol) and that I was in pain after so I was eating only a little bit and lost 18lbs within 3 weeks when I returned to work. I told them that motivated me to loose weight and I’m just sticking to it lol. I’m 4yrs post up now I see it as no big deal and do tell people. At that time only about 4 close friends new and my family.

Button up comfy pajamas. No right undergarments. Make sure you have someone to have your meds ready when you get out the hospital.
  13. Hello everyone. I started my journey 4 years ago going on 5 in Dec at the time I weighed 278 within one year I was down to 144. I did great. I worked out 7 times a day. I watched and kept a diary of everything I ate. I seriously took care of my new pouch lol. I never felt restricted on my foods because I learned to cook healthier and it was good food. Well I started dating my husband 3yrs ago and we would party a lot and I started to eat late on the weekends so I gained 10lbs but I was fine I did not feel bad. Well a year ago I had my first baby and I only gained 30lbs but by the time I left the hospital (C-section so I stayed 3 days) I was already my pre baby weight so that was awesome. Well I became a stay at home mom eventually my baby started eating and snacking well mommy (me) snacks and eats with her. To cut this short from Jan to now I have gained 40lbs 😭😭😭😭. My jeans don’t fit or fit extremely tight. I refuse to buy new clothes which means a bigger size. I started the ouch reset on Monday. It’s going good because I’m back to being determined and I feel motivated. I’m stuck I don’t remember how many carbs are we supposed to have, how many fats, and how much sugar. Can anyone help me out and tell me what they follow? I know protein is 60-80 grams a day. I went shopping got my protein, liquids, and veggies so when I start my soft stage again.
  14. I stopped caffein two weeks before surgery so I was perfectly fine after. I have been post op 4yrs and till this day I only drink decaf. I found out I drinked it for the taste. I went from 260 to 130
