  1. I'm so glad I found this post. I'm 7 months out and a loss of about 80 lbs. On Nov 8th, I started limping and couldn't get my balance right. Numb left foot. I did a little research online and decided I needed to go to a doctor. Friday Nov.15th I had foot x-rays, then they decided to do my back and after reviewing them, they sent me for a MRI. I have an appointment tomorrow and I'm still not able to raise my left foot up at the ankle and still numb. I think the next step is a brace and a nerve test! Everything is happening so fast and I don't know where to turn... Do I have sucker written on my forehead???
  2. I am drinking Premier Chocolate Ready to go and blending Muscle Milk Light. I hope these are high quality protein drinks.
  3. I did when I was 6 weeks out and then again about 5 months out. Gatorade and water might help. It sounds like you are dehydrated or have you started a new medication? I just saw your comment on Zoloft. How were you before you upped your meds? Best thing is to contact your doctor. Hang in there.
  4. 6 months out and I am about in tears. My hair is shoulder length and I'm thinking about getting a medium BOB just to even it up. I do take biotin everyday and I can see the start of some new hair growing in. Be sure to take your vitamins and a calcium replacement. This seem to work for me. Good luck!

  11. I had my surgery at Sugar Land Surgical Hospital, Sugar Land Texas.
  12. I got a call this morning from the Head of Anesthesia at Sugar Land Surgical Hospital and he said “I owe them nothing. “ Wahoo! I faxed my appeal letter last Friday and I’m so glad I did. They were charging me $3,000 for anesthesia after my health insurance had paid them. Thanks to everyone for the good advice.
  13. Today i had my eyes checked and I'm so blind. Had to boost up my contacts and the new glass I have had my glass for six months or not sharp. I do mono vision and hoping this work or i will have to go back to glasses only. Not a happy camper ;(

  15. I did get to leave a message on her voice mail and told her I was thinking about a lawyer but that is silly of me to go there. I need to suck it up and be glad it wasn't more.
  16. I thought all my surgery cost were covered after I met my deductible. But I get this bill for anesthesia and I owe them $3,314.60. My health insurance is through Aetna and they just told me this was an out-of- network charge. They have paid some of it but I am left with this balance. The total charge was a little over $6,000. My surgeon is in partnership with other doctors and have an interest in the hospital where my surgery was performed. I spoke with the doctors coordinator and all she could say was "Sorry. I didn't know there were out of network." Sounds a little fishy to me. I have no choose but to pay it. Has anyone else been charged for anesthesia?
  17. Hi ladies. Today was my 64th birthday and I had the time of my life. Sleeved April 4th and have I made the right decision. I may have over eaten today but I felt full and have I listened to my tummy. I think i wasn't eating enough during the day and could hardly eat 800 calories. Protein baby!!!Chicken Fajitas, a bit of avocado, beans and a little rice. This was a turning point for me and I'm ready to get back to a little more sensible path tomorrow. Hang in there. Time is your best friend and try not to rush it. I know at first things may look bleak. No one likes liquids at first but that is a good thing. Your tummy needs to heal. I still have cans of cream of whatever soups in my pantry and will never touch them again. Mucky food are OK and you can work more with these foods. At my third week visit my Surgeon said "Eat what you what." "Sure Is he nuts?" I have made a big mistake! Sitting in a chair most of the time or laying in bed watching TV must stop! I got out today and it was wonderful. Hot but I have so much energy. Good luck to you all and remember, I did this to be heather. Stay in touch. Carole

I just take my meds at night before I go to bed. I have spoken to my Dr. and she suggested I take it in the morning. It has really helped. 15 weeks out VS
