  1. I just completed my initial consultation with surgeon. He was comparing RNY to Lap band, saying, "the two surgeries don't compare for weight loss, the band is only average 2 pounds/month." I am not interested in RNY and favor the lap band. I would love to hear thoughts on rate of weight loss and how difficult compliance is to ensure weight loss.
  2. Greetings from Oregon. I am meeting with Bariatric docs Friday. I am hopeful to pursue lap band. I still have several questions. :tea:I am an avid horse back rider and my big questions are about activity like that and slippage. Any thoughts about this out there?
