    feb 2013 sleevers weigh in

I've been guilty of not checking in recently as well! I was sleeved on 2/19/13, HW 396 SW 380 GW 225 - 205 - 198 (it kept changing) CW 192 - 196 ( I fluctuate ) It's been a crazy journey for sure, it's been hard for me to stabilize and quit losing. I've upped my calorie intake to 1500, and if I exercise (which I do 5 times a week) I eat more so I have a net 1500. That seems to have helped it. I don't crave the carbs like I used to which is a blessing but I don't deny myself either. I joined Weight Watchers last November with my wife and it's been great. I made lifetime about a month ago and my wife has lost 62 pounds! We're getting healthy for the next half of our lives! I ran (that's right, I RAN) my first 5K with my daughter yesterday. We did it in 38 minutes flat which I'm happy about. It's something I couldn't even have comprehended 200 pounds ago! Crossing that finish line was so empowering for me, and I felt such pride in my accomplishments. It was a great day and I owe it all to my sleeve (and some hard work from me)! In another 6 months I'm going to start looking into plastic surgery for skin removal from the belly and chest, then this will be complete! I love my new life and my new approach to living it! Cheers to being healthy!! Thanks for all of your support and inspiration along the way, you don't know how much you've all helped me! God speed!
  4. My wife didn't want to have surgery so she went back to Weight Watchers, and I joined too! They know I had the sleeve and have been very supportive. I'm 6 pounds from goal and I'm going to do maintenance with WW!
  5. Congratulations Evolving!! I think you've evolved!! A great accomplishment and lesson in dedication. Do know that what you have done and continue to do is very inspiring to so many of us!! Great work, you look amazing!
  6. Congrats on a great accomplishment! Isn't it great when people comment about the picture on our CDL's... I just worry that one day someone will say hey this isn't you! Keep up the awesome work you will get to goal!
  7. Thanks Susanna , it does feel great and yes, the gall bladder blew in October! Four more little scars, I just say now I have a 9 hole course on my belly well not really a belly any more!LOL
  8. Happy to report that today is my one year surgiversary! It's been an amazing year and I'm so happy that I made the decision to have the sleeve, it has been life changing! My only regret is that I waited so long! To date I'm down 189 pounds, and I'm just 9 pounds away from my goal weight, I know I'll get there soon, and that will be a big celebration! Here is my before and after! It has been a lot of hard work, but what a difference a year makes! Thanks to all of those that have given me information and encouragement to make my journey easier! Couldn't have done it without this community! Cheers!!

My sleeve is in a knot.

So sorry for your loss, sending healing thoughts and prayers your way! Hang in there!
  11. Sorry in advance, this is a little gross! I just threw up dinner! I think I cleared out my stomach! How do you all track your calories when it doesn't stay down?
  12. ashes go back to the basics! Heavy protein, watch your carb intake, track everything that goes in your mouth, bump up the exercise! Just a suggestion! Hope it helps!
  13. Thanks evolving! Erp I think that's a great idea!
  14. Yep an amazing year! I rang in 2013 at 396, got my sleeve on 2/19 and was at 380! Today I'm rockin' 212 I'm hoping to see 205 by my surgiversary! That was my goal weight, but now that I'm so close to Onderland I think I'll go a little farther and see that one on the scale! Good luck to all of the other February 2013 sleevers out there! We've done BIG things!! =]
