I have a questions, what size is your Bougie? I'm wondering if that's the reason that we experiencing weight gain. I know that I requested my doctor to use a smaller size for me. I believe my size is a 30.

Hello Everyone! I wanted to check in and hold myself accountable. Yesterday was not the day for me because of the things we brought to the office for someone that's leaving the company. I got up and said today would be a new start for me; I did have good intentions. For breakfast I had a Premier Protein Shake and added Almased protein in it. I was not hungry, but had an apple for my morning snack. For Lunch I had a plain grilled hamburger patty with grilled carrots. So good so far, right? And THEN............... I had to have some M & Ms so I bought a pack and had only 5 and gave the rest away. It was my plans to have a shake for dinner. As I walked in the house this evening, I stopped and ate some strawberries that I cooked for strawberry shortcakes; they were so delicious. KNOWing that I messed up big time; did that stop me? "NO". I grabbed some Doritos about 7 chips and at that point satisfied. I must take control of my bad habit. All morning my stomach hurt and I continued to eat. Since I stopped chewing gum, it seems as if I have to have something in my mouth at all times. I sit around people who eat whenever and whatever. It also does not help when I have someone sitting across from my office selling candy. I know that I can do this, because I went without sweets for so long. I have always had an issue with Chips. :-(. I'm going to get up tomorrow morning at 5 a.m. and walk on my treadmill if it's only for 20 minutes. I was doing so good until I went natural; I found out my hair and sweat do not mix. lol. I must continue to remind myself that I can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me. Please keep me in prayers as I will left us all up as a group.

Hello All, Glad I found this thread. I have also gain a little weight back and scared that I'm going to regain all my weight back. I have gain 10 pounds because of careless eating; I am a known stress eater. I know if I do not take control now, my regain will only get worse. I recently gave up chewing gum and notice that I have been substituting my gum chewing for carbs. I will try my hardest to start on Tuesday; it's going to be hard because we are having chips and all kinds of dips at work. I recently bought a treadmill and did great for about 2 weeks . I think having a support group that knows what I am going through would benefit me in my new start. Thanks in advance!

Dr. Garcia and team are highly recommended by me. I opted for same day surgery flew in on a Friday afternoon and had surgery around 3 p.m. I was to leave on Monday, but I had some issues going on with my lungs that were pre-existing. My PCP thought I had pneumonia before going to Mexico and was blaming all the shortage of breath on my weight gain. I will tell you this, "Dr. Luna, After Care Doctor, did not leave my side until I was back on US soil and followed up with me for many weeks. I guarantee that we would not get the same treatment in the states. Dr. Garcia is always available for his patients. He has a Facebook page; if you send him an email, he will respond in a timely manner. I had surgery on May 10 weight at 230; I weighed today (07.21.13) at 188; I am so happy that I pick Dr. Garcia. I added some pictures. The picture of my stomach is my incision. I had the single-incision and the incision showing is from the drainage tube.

Good for you. My surgery is scheduled for May 10. Have you had any complications? I belong to a FB group and one lady might need surgery after going to Dr. Garcia on 04/11/13. She was having sharp pains and fever. The Doctors told her that she must have had a bypass, she double checked with Garcia and advised she did have the sleeve. She is waiting for her UGI results to come back to determine how they will address her issue.
