Back to basics and really doing it!

I did it. Yay! I had a tiny taste of baked potato and a pinch of rye bread. I told the waiter to remove from table. So glad the loaded my husband potato; I like mine with salt and pepper. I'm getting much better at listening to my stomach when I'm full. I got leftovers again. [emoji4] -

Sounds like my story; I had also gained 10. If you read through this thread you will find some helpful tips. Because 25 cabs and under was not realistic to me, I set my carb goal between 50 - 100, then I drop my carb goal down to 50. I was ranging in high 30 -50. Now it's seems to be easier to stay in the twenties range. After a while you will make better choices when it comes to carbs. I find my self paying more attention to the carb section. Since I have been doing this, I have eliminated my snacking during the day. As of today, I have lost 5 pounds. Good luck! -

I will even list my bad days. I was out the box with carbs today. I had a half of pancake with sugar free syrup. The fruit did me in. I just had to have a free day where I ate fruits. I still think I made better choices than I use to make. -

I had started to wonder if I was the only one commenting on this thread. For some reason I always have to refresh my page to see new comments. -

On my 3rd day of the 12 Week Idealshape Challenge. I'm hurting in a good way. Very quick workout for those that don't care for exercising like me. http://www.idealshape.com/blog/idealshape-up-challenge/workouts.php?utm_source=wf_isuc&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=isuc01_ar -

This is a great thread. Just what the doctor ordered. We are all at different levels of weight regain, but the support is all the same. My weight had been going up in the last year; I'm a STRESS eater and I don't cook. I had very bad food choices and felt I always had to have something in my mouth when I sit at my desk. I realized today that I did not snack nor did I have the craving to snack. My weight has started going down because I have cut back on the carbs. My Nut, who was actually one of my doctors that was in the surgery room with me in Mexico, told me to stay under 25 grams of Carbs to start losing Weight; that's not a lot. However, he told me if I could not go cold turkey to start between 50-100 carbs and gradually eliminate. That worked for me. I now intake about 30-36. I read someone's post about the 5:2 Diet and tried 500 calories, no problem consuming that because I ate Starkist Creations for all my meals with a serving of crackers. I said all of that just to say "Change is Not Change Unless We Change." If you fall off a day, dust yourself off and start again; I did. It is much easier for me to stick to the plan because you all are such great motivators and it helps doing this with someone who had weight loss surgery. -

I read where someone did the 5:2 Diet. I thought I would try taking in only 500 calories today. I did day 1 of the 12 Week Idealshape Challenge and walked one lap on the treadmill. I will probably walk 2 miles in the morning. I must say I'm winning compared to last week. Good luck everyone. -

I did much better today than the day before. I walked 2 miles on the treadmill before work. I eat a lot of protein, but also did bad on carb intake. My doctor told me to start eating apples; too many carbs. No more apples for me. Tomorrow is a new day. ***I know my carb intake should be between 20-25. I started at 100 to work my way down. I could not go cold turkey. -

Thanks for explaining. I had my surgery done in Mexico. I think I'm at 30, could be 32. The only complaint I have is drinking water at night before bed. When I fall asleep, I wake up throwing the water up, As if the water sets in my esophagus. -

I never heard someone call it that; you just might be right. I tell my husband all the time to stop bringing the chips in the house.
