  1. Good luck!! Prayers for an i eventful surgery & easy recovery!
  2. Day 5 here (sleeved 6/6) Doing pretty good. Still a little but if abdominal pain but nothing pain med worthy. Actually felt like getting out of the house today. DrI've & ran a couple of quick errands. Energy level is improving. Growing very very tired of broth... Ready for something with some type of substance to it.
  3. Ugh... I have to travel this weekend (one week post op) to SATX. I will be on full liquids so bringing plenty of protein shakes, yogurt & runny oatmeal but what about when it's an out to eat meal... Any suggestions??!?!?!!???!!?
  4. I'm so glad to read all your posts.. I was sleeved on 6/6 & thought I was the only one feeling this way. I am soooooo sick of broth & every other clear liquid, I could scream!!! Supposed to start full liquids on Thursday... am so ready!!!!! Will be so glad when I can CHEW something!!!! Energy & pain wise, I'm improving daily... Just moving alittle slow.
  5. Doing pretty good.. Getting a little stronger & more energy each day. No pain med needed since first day after leaving hospital. Honestly just sick & tired of BROTH!!!! Sadly, I'll be glad to drink protein drinks & yogurt (gross!!) -- 2 days left of this clear liquid fun!! Struggle to get required fluids (min 60 oz) each day but trying to drink as much as I can--- down 5 lbs since surgery--
  6. Wish there was a HEALTHY shrimp & grits recipe ..... OH YUM!!!!!
  7. I makes own popcorn & it's wonderful!! 1/4 c kernels in brown paper lunch sack Close bag & microwave for a minute and 4 sec ( in my microwave) Once done, spray with PAM or butter spray (i use Olive Oil). Sprinkle whatever seasoning you like . Close bag & shake, shake, shake.

When I CAN eat popcorn, I make my own & it's soooo yummy.. 1/4 c kernels in a brown paper lunch bag Microwave for 1 min and 5 sec ( in my microwave) Once done, spray with PAM or butter spray (i use Oilve oil spray) Sprinkle whatever seasoning you prefer in the bag, close and shake.. My kiddos love it b/c we all get our own bag , our own flavor & it's more than enough

  11. I know this has protein but is egg drop soup okay to eat during full liquid phase?? I am ending clear liquid phase and just trying to get some ideas before hand Thx
  12. I was as nervous as imaginable -- this was my first surgery ever... Even had some thoughts about canceling but thankfully I did it & everything was fine. The first night, i was sore with some nausea but had wonderful nurses that gave me some morphine & phengren & i slept well. Still dealing with sore abdomen & moving a little slow but other than that no problems Prayers & best wishes for an in eventful surgery & recovery for you!!
  13. Sleeping is a little uncomfortable but have found sleeping in a recliner to be much easier for me. Getting all req liquids down is rough. Aside from that and abdominal soreness, doing pretty good. Feeling a little better each day.
  14. Thanks but I'm post-op & dr's order were clear liquids for 7 days after surgery then back to liquid diet for 7 more.

  16. Sonic ice ROCKS!!! Getting a little burnt out on water, beef broth & SF Popsicles. Need more clear liquid ideas for the next 5 days... Might try some Crystal Light or some Powerade Zero. Any other ideas????

  19. Nice to be home. Still some abdominal pain upon moving & still burping. Trying to move around & get plenty of fluids but would much rather sleeeeepp.
