  6. Welcome Stephanie & congrats on your journey!
  7. Its funny to me how things hit my mind randomly. Today, for some unknown reason-- it dawned on me that I'm no longer in that 100+ lbs overweight category. I've tracked my weight loss (daily -- yes i know this is not a good practice but it works for me) since I began my weight loss journey. I've watched the number on the scale steadily go down. I'm down 70 lbs & have gone from a size 24 to a 16. All of which I'm very proud of but reality set in today when it hit me that i no longer fit (yes, pun intended) in the 100+ lbs category that I have carried for a long time (much too long!)-- my heart just sang. I still have a long way to go but man, this milestone is a huge one for me. Congrats to everyone on their success and on their personal journey!!
  8. It's funny to me how things hit my mind randomly... Today it dawned on me that I'm no longer 100+ lbs overweight. I have been keeping track of my weight (daily-- yes, i know not a good practice)but never really processed exactly what losing 70lbs means. That had been something I had carried for a long time but today it hit me that I no longer fit ( yes, pun intended.. LOL) in that category. Still have a long way to go but so far down 70lbs! Gone from a size 24 to a 16! Wow, what a difference 6 months makes (5 since surgery)! Actually excited about buying new clothes for the upcoming Holidays! Congrats to everyone on their journey!!
  9. Celebrating today-- bought new jeans -- Size 16W. So excited!!! At the start of my journey (6 months ago), i was wearing a 24W. Funny though i had been wearing a 2X shirt for so long, i didn't realize just how big it was on me until I mistakenly was sent a 1X rather than a 2X shirt I ordered-- tried it on & it fits!!!! YAY!! Time to clean out the closet!!
  10. 10/31 228.3 Didn't make goal but def pleased with my loss
  11. I'm in.. HW 295.5 CW 230.4 Thanksgiving weight goal 220
  12. 232.6 Up 2 lbs Know it's due to being TOM but still not happy with an increase!!
  13. We have all gone on that roller coaster of emotions & focus on one issue or another. I think your niece said it perfectly!! It's much more important that YOU are here and healthy. The hair loss (if it happens) is minimal and temporary.
  14. Absolutely not!! I'm 4 1/2 month out and down 62 lbs (20 pre-op/42 post). Slower weight loss than I want but all of our bodies are different & I'm just thrilled to be losing.
