  1. To post a picture here from your computer, I think you have to load it up in your gallery first. Then you can go to My Media in the options when you reply to a post, and attach it that way.

To post a pic here off your iphone/ipad, click on the Advanced options and it will give you a choice to attach a picture from your camera or camera roll.

Thank you, I hope your instructions will make sense by the time I'm ready to post a pic (like a year from now!) LOL!

  2. I too had an abnormal EKG at my PCP's office so they scheduled me for a chemical stress test. That came out fine. I think EKG's are inaccurate anyway. My best friend had an EKG done at her doc's office one day & all was perfect & the next day she suffered a massive heart attack. :-( I'm so grateful they did a chemical stress test on me because that is much more reliable! I think it's great that they are making sure you're in good enough health to have this surgery. Don't be scared, just be positive & all will work out fine.

  4. I'll be 4 weeks out on Tuesday & I haven't tried an egg yet....but I can tell you what I've been able to eat, to see if our eating coincides? I've had chicken nuggets...can only eat 2. I have eaten pieces of cut up grilled chicken breast (bought at costco, already cooked, just need heating), & I can only eat 4 pieces of the cut up chicken & I had a 1/3 cup of over cooked cauliflower. I made a grilled ham & cheese for my son & he couldn't finish his sandwich & since I had nothing prepared for my lunch, I ate the 1/4 remaining of his sandwich & I was stuffed. I can eat 1 whole greek yogurt, or a 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes, 1 package of cream of wheat, or 1 package of oatmeal (& in both I mix in about 3 tablespoons of no sugar added apple sauce for flavor.)

So how does that sound in comparison to what you can eat?

  5. This is inspiring! See that is what I was wondering. I don't know how much ill have to loose in order to start to feel better. Not about my appearance, but with my health? Can you tell a difference after 70lbs?

I know you weren't asking me, but if I may butt in again.....I've only lost 30 lbs & I have already been taken off my diabetes meds & the knee that needs replacing is hurting me a lot less! So for me, there was a health improvement after only 30 lbs...imagine at 70 or more!

  6. I was just recently sleeved (will be one month on Tuesday) so I don't know the answers to your questions BUT if you don't have the surgery, where will you be in another 6 months to a year? Will you weigh the same or more or will you lose weight? That's how I approached my surgery. Where will I be 6 months or a year from now if I don't have it? I think you'll be surprised at what you'll be able to lose. It's really amazing how little you will eat & feel full. Will you get to goal? Who knows....but if you do nothing, will you get to goal? You're so young, I wouldn't hesitate. I'm 53 & so wish I had done this at least 10 years ago. You're already ahead of the game with all the support you have. I didn't really have much support because I didn't want to tell anyone, but that was my decision. My husband & BFF knew but not many more than that. Those that did know were very supportive. If you've read here, not all people that were sleeved or going to be sleeved have had much support. Take it & run! As my doctor told me when I told him that I was considering Weight Loss Surgery, he was very happy for me & said "you're going to buy back at least 20 years!" From his mouth to God's ears! This could save your life. Don't hesitate. Blessings to you!

  7. Some days it seems like nothing can go right....been there many times, so I understand. But I just looked at your weight ticker so I'm thinking a trip to the bathroom mirror (MAKE TIME) to look at your new figure should put a smile on your face!

Remember even skinny people gain a bit of weight & then they work hard at getting it off, so don't worry, it will come off. Also remember the more Water your drink, the more your body will shrink! :P

Have a peaceful & blessed day! Smile! :D It'll make people wonder what you're up to! Hehe!

  8. That salesperson should be written up for that. Truthfully, she should be FIRED but I'm going to be a christian & say she should be talked to & then written up for it. How DARE she??!!! Good for you for walking back in. I tend to shoot (my mouth off) first & then ask questions, but you did good cause you thought it thru & went to the manager. **Standing ovation!**

  9. I'm so excited for you! I had my surgery 4 weeks ago tomorrow & I unfortunately don't feel exactly "giddy", as you say. I wish I did! I'm mourning food right now. Like tonight I made a yummy dinner for my family, with Pasta (my absolute favorite food) & I ate a couple of strands of angel hair Pasta & it felt too heavy, so I was sad I couldn't eat it, BUT I am excited when I step on the scale to see how much I've gone down! That part makes me giddy, especially looking at being in the 260's which I haven't been since before I gave birth to my 11 y/o son! Ha! I guess I'll feel more giddy once I start fitting into the clothes I have packed away in a wardrobe closet in my basement. I stored some favorite things I couldn't donate once I no longer fit into them.

Once again tho, I'm so very happy for you & I hope your giddiness rubs off on me!

  10. I feel your pain! I bought some new cute "blingy" tops for a cruise I took back in October. I only wore 1 out of the 4 I purchased & now they're already too big on me. Since I had planned on wearing them, I cut the tags off & washed them so they'd be nice & fresh so I can't even sell them as new. I guess I'll just donate them, even tho we're in a financial mess. Or maybe I'll try ebay? That's what my son tells me to do. Good luck on selling your items!

  11. I haven't gotten to 3 months yet but I have read on this board (over & over & over) that the dreaded 3 month stall is very common. All I can say is what I've read to switch up your diet a little. Eat a bit more calories, drink a bit more Water (remember, the more water you drink, the more your body shrinks!) & not sure what else, but you can do a search on it. There are lots of seasoned Sleevers here who give great advice! Just don't get discouraged...it's part of the journey! Good luck to you!!

  12. Holy cow, you look GORGEOUS!!! Love the outfit too! I have a houndstooth gray & black skirt suit that I bought in Paris a loooooong time ago, BC = before children ~ lol! The style is classic so I can wear it anytime but it hasn't fit since the early 90's! I've held on to it all these years because I love it so much & I've actually gone in my guestroom closet, just to look at it sometimes! I hope that I'll be able to wear it again someday. Not too sure I can get down that much but that houndstooth suit is my hope! Thanks for sharing your pic!
