Museum-Mama got a reaction from siddarhi in Corsets: Posture, Waistline, & Kink
Weeeeelll.....bring a corset lovin' woman myself, I can tell ya a bit about the history. (Its part of my job. Really! It is!) You have to understand that women were corset trained as soon as they started their period practicly. Today, you can still achieve the training, but you have to wear it as much as possible.
Another note, a corset can actually weaken the muscles of your core since it becomes the structure that holds you straight. It doesn't exactly make you sit up straight, it HOLDS you up straight.
The best thing I ever did for my posture was to take an adult beginning ballet class. It was super easy, and was mostly streatching. It wasn't meant to teach me how to be a prima ballerina. I went one night a week, for 6 months. In no time after beginning the class, I naturally had good posture without thinking about it and my balance was so much better. My inner core was strong and balanced, and my tummy a little flatter too! It was a lot of fun because it was a few older woman who wanted to be a little active and have fun doing it.
I would dave the waist-cincher that you have for when you need to look smooth and toned under a nice dress or top....or when you need a little kink.

Well, how do you feel about the friend? His first response was, "the pretty one". Lol!
Anyway, you should talk to the guy and see if he realizes what he did and if he sincerely is sorry.

I agree with the others, the drug issue is the larger problem. Has he always acted this down and out? Is it more recent? If this is a new behavior, then I am inclined to think he is using something. Part of the marriage counseling should be a drug test. If he is using, go to a safe place with your child. The behavior will only get worse, meaning more violent.
Prayers for you and your child.
PS. an affair is not worth it, IMHO. I have never had one, but my ex did. The impact it had on me was near suicidal, and he lost everything: his friends, job, reputation, family, etc. Now he goes to counseling to deal with the guilt.

Museum-Mama got a reaction from rhw94123 in Fitbit?
I love my firbit one and aria! I love the interface of fitbit so much better than my fitness pal too. I got bot of these things because I am HORRIBLE at keeping track. These do the job for me and I don't even have to think about it. I just have to remember to charge my tracker. I bought the scale used on ebay. So many get it for christmas, and by june they want the money because they don't use it. Its harder to get the trackers since many sellers have lost parts and such.

I used the FitBit Flex for 6 months. Fell in love with it and purchased the matching FitBit Aria scale. I pre-ordered the FitBit Force the day it was announced and have been using it since November 7th. I loooooove my FitBit toys. They really help keep me motivated and moving. Tracking my (lack) of sleep is awesome. If you can afford the Force, go for it. The watch, screen and battery life were a huge plus for me. My goal in the future is to integrate this site/app with FitBit and the other trackers and popular health apps.

Museum-Mama reacted to laners777 in A BIG NSV week
I attended my first work conference this week since being sleeved 6/24/13. First NSV occurred on the plane, NO seatbelt extender needed. I did ask for one because I didn't trust that I had lost enough to fit but didn't need it. As a matter of fact, I had about 3 extra inches on the regular seatbelt. Second, my hotel was 1.2 miles away from the convention center and I walked to and from everyday for 4 days, so got my walking in. The NSV to that was that it didn't even wind me, the weather was nice so I didn't even sweat and I walked it in a 3 inch heeled sandal. I stayed on program the entire time of the conference, having the confidence to say "no thank you" to food items I knew I should not eat. I also went to happy hour everyday, did not drink even though I really wanted to. Last NSV was putting on my bathing suit and going to the hot tub and taking off my cover-up to get into the spa. No shame, no self-consciousness, just at a place where I know I don't look the best in my suit but I sure don't look the worst either and I know I am transitioning to a smaller me and I am comfortable with my place in the world right now. I haven't felt that way in years. Life is so much more about how we feel about ourselves, what we are doing for ourselves, than what we look like in a bathing suit. I guess with weight loss, total of 45lbs so far, I am actually learning about myself again, that might be my happiest NSV

Ok, so its not exactly how it sounds but Friday I will finally become a mom... and it's a boy! I have been trying to adopt for over a year and he is coming to live with me this weekend. After four months of rushed evening visits and having to take him back after a weekend stay, he is finally coming home for good. This was one of the reasons I had the surgery--so that I could be a healthy and active mom. I still have a ways to go, but I feel better than I have in many many years. These last months have been life changing, and the surgery was the best thing I could have ever done for myself!

Museum-Mama got a reaction from sleeve_29 in Cant get protien or fluid in!
I am almost three months and I still cannot get either goal. My nut says thats ok for now and to focus on the Water. But it does help to get one shake (4-6 oz) in a day, and to get some Protein that mixes with Water, like the Syntax nectar.
It will get better and I am noticing I am able to take in more liquid than before. Just keep at it the best you can.
