Nutritionist vs. Dietician
I am curious, as I read through the posts on here....when speaking about your "food adviser", its always called a NUT or nutritionist. Knowing a few dieticians, personally, they are none to thrilled about nutritionists. Dieticians go through study, testing, and have to keep up with their education to keep their licensing. Part of their training is clinical. Nutritionists do not, and are not licensed. I like my doctor I chose, because I will be working with an actual registered dietician. I have had experience with a nutritionist on another diet, and she was just whack. I knew more than she did. SO...my questions is, are most of you using a nutritionist instead of a dietician, or are we just referring to dieticians as NUTs in the forums generically? Completely random, I know....but like I said, I am just curious. Thanks!

Since they remove the producer of Ghrelin, does it really help u not be hungry?
I haven't had surgery yet, but when my dr was explaining to me the differences of surgery, he did explain that our bodies actually have THREE sources of where the stuff is produced. If I remember right, it was the brain, stomach, and one do the intestines. Again, I'm trying to remember something I was told about two months ago. Ask your doctor about this.

Anyone here from Texas?
So glad to see your review! I am using My Bariatric Solutions too. So far, compared to an experience I had here in Waco, the MBS staff have been WONDERFUL!!!! I know its a long drive for me, but the attention I am getting from them is well worth it. Plus, they are letting me do some of my lab work here rather than drive in to DFW each time. Since I am self pay, thwy are chacking to see if I need any other work (gallbladder and hiatal hernia). If I do, the can fix it while sleeving me and then charge a portion to insurance. So far nothing but good things!

Offended? Dating and weight.
Well, how do you feel about the friend? His first response was, "the pretty one". Lol! Anyway, you should talk to the guy and see if he realizes what he did and if he sincerely is sorry.

June dates
Congrats on a date!! Just a word of caution on the endoscopy.... when the doc says eat soft foods for three days, OBEY! My ex (bless his pointed lil' head...) didn't listen and ate fried chicken two days later. Well, when the numbness finally wore off, he was in major pain. But no worries! You'll be fine!

Your fave herbal teas?
Not sure what restrictions there are on tea, but my absolute FAVORITE brand of tea is Wissotzky. Everything I have tried is fantastic! Here's where you can order online or just see what they have: http://www.wteashop.com/ The Fruit galore tea, over ice, tastes like Cool-Aid! My son and I love it in the summer.

Almost finished with pre-op stuff!
I'm not exactly sure...lol.... but it will show if my gallbladder is having issues. Not stones, but over production and such. With the pain I have been having, and I cal already tell them, IT DOES! :/ But my VSG doc wants me to get the scan done to see if it needs removing. If it does, then my insurance will cover a portion of the surgery cost to remove the gallbladder and fix my hiatal hernia. Once my PCP says to take it out, I can set a date!!! Here's more info on the test: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hida-scan/MY00320/DSECTION=what-you-can-expect

Stressed to the max! Off topic
When it rains, it pours. Right? Just keep faith that this storm, too, shall pass. I recently when through some horrific and very stressful things over the past year. Only two weeks ago did life get better. Just remember to get good sleep, and BREATHE! I wish I could help you out with the car, but if you need anything for the baby, I will be happy to send you something. I will also keep your family in my prayers. HUGS!
