  1. I need a good short term investment anyone have a hot pic?
  2. All Dogs go to Heaven Even thought the Bible writes nothing about it does not mean God does not set his own rules.
  3. why did you get a removal?
  4. Is there such a thing? What if the LB needs to be removed for some reason do Doctors charge another 10k to remove it. Is the process coming out the same as going in? Not planning on this ever being an issue but wanted to ask anyway.
  5. Just tell everyone your eating less and working out more. If any offers you food tell them your stuffed and just had a big meal. If you do end up with food in front of you have a dog near by and slip him some food.
  6. What will they be doing with me for 5 hours?
  7. I got a kick out of your post keep it coming you'll be over it soon.
  8. 1 in 2000 that will be more like 1 in 10,000 a few years from now. They should say the 1 person would have died anyway without the lap band. This is an operation so some risk is acceptable.
  9. My BC BS policy does offer coverage but I must show a 1 yr history with a Dr who monitored my weight with no improvments. BMI is also a factor and they may still turn me down in the end. If I go forward with this I will be a self pay and forget it.
  10. Is this the type of thing that will cost less as time goes on? Has anyone ever negotiated the price of the LB for a lesser amount?
  11. I know this sounds strange but I after a year or so how much food can you eat? I'm hearing 1 cup of food per day. If I do well with my band and lose the weight I need do I have to get fills?
  12. You can't drink when eating food? wow that's interesting.
  13. I kind of agree with you about going to Mexico. I found Dr. Horgan in Chicago who is 15k that includes 1 yr of follow up care. A 375.00 fee to the shrink doc is not included. I think for the extra money and not having to take time away from the family I will go stay in Chicago. But to each his own. Cheers!
  14. Can you pm with the price you paid and overall experience?
  15. Can you have the baby and then get banded when the kid is 6 months old appx 14 months from now that would be May 2006. Sounds like a plan lets do it.
  16. I may end up visiting the Michigan Ave location for a free seminar. I hope they improve the was they do thing over there.
  17. Wow! Great site. Hi I'm Jim from Chicago area not sure if I'll ever be "banded" as you say but starting to look around I think my BMI is 36-37 I'm 6'0 6'1 appx 265-275 lbs. I am in the process to see if I qualify with Ins. I have Blue Cross and had heart surgery when I was age 5 I'm now 36. I'm a non-smoker and light drinker 1-2 drinks per month and have struggled with weight since age 6. My heaviest is right now. I was down to 172 when I was 23 for about 2 yrs but ended up at 225-230 for most of my 20's and early 30's. Now I'm moving towards 40 and weight 270=275 yikes! I emailed a few places today in Illinois to get information and schedule a meeting. My first question is how much can I expect to pay if my Ins does not cover this? What does "Fill" mean? I have read this is a 2 hour process and will be home same day? Will I be able to eat regular foods again like salad Pasta ect? Looking forward to learning all I can here. Hope everyone here is doing well on there plan.
