    PCOS and telling my friends

We are the same height but I was a little bit heavier (211), I had surgery March 18, 2013. I am not quiet at my goal but I have lost about 75 pounds, my periods have been appearing regularly (without any assistance from medication) for the past six months. So I am pleased that my body did react well to the surgery and I think the PCOS is under control now without any effort. I do go out with my friends and drink but I do try to keep my drinks pretty simple. I love tequila gimlets (it is a good substitution for an old favorite margaritas) or vodka and some chaser that is low in sugar. I stay away from mixed fruity drinks or carbonated drinks. When we go out to eat, I mostly eat an appetizer or get wings for my meal. I didn't tell my friends about my surgery but I was always a picky eater so they don't really question what I am ordering. They know I workout a lot and see the weight loss so they just must assume I am being healthier.

    Nectar protein drink

It is powder. I get it from the vitamin shoppe. I love the iced tea flavor.
  3. I use one too and had it in during my surgery. I don't remember having issues changing it out. But I also only had a single incision so I didn't have any major pain after the surgery.
  4. I had single incision about a year ago and I had no issues with it. The scar is a little bit bigger than I would prefer but everyone does heal differently. It isn't huge but it is visible above my belly button. I am about 3 pounds from my goal so I am pleased over all with the surgery.

    St. Patrick's Day Challenge

    139. Didn't make my goal and the scale didn't even move most of the month. I am still ok with it.

    Does running get easier?

It does get easier, I promise. I did a couch 2 5k app as well and now I can run 5 miles without any issues. I did get stuck on some weeks and did multiple days more than once until I could complete them without quitting. So I think it took me longer than 8 weeks to run a 5k straight and I was a lot slower than the pace the app thinks. Lots of days I thought I was going to die or couldn't to it but week 4 did start to feel easier. Week 6, I was stuck on forever but in the end you can do it at your own pace and time.

  8. I had Christy as my coordinator and everything is legit. I don't know if my surgery counts as recent since it was about 11 months ago. I spoke with her several times prior to my surgery and she answered all my questions and was extremely helpful to expedite my surgery process. I had no issues when I landed in San Diego and called the driver and he was there to pick me up in about 10 mins but there was a lot of construction at the airport at that time so I can understand it was full of traffic. But I am sure he would have been on time.

    Valentine's Challenge

144.2 that is gain. But I haven't been eating too well this week.
  13. I was taking it when I first got sleeved just to help with digestion. I had issues with acid reflux but in about a month everything stopped and quit taking it. But you may want to ask your doctor.
