  1. Ow, Fiddle can't you wear gloves?
  2. Congrats to you, how exciting to feel good in your new clothes. I doubt that I will ever be a size 2, but I am loving getting into smaller sizes, the sad thing is I keep buying stuff that is too big for me! Then I have to take it back. Sooner or later I will figure out what size I am.

  10. OMG, I can believe that I finally was able to get back on this site. What a mess. Anyhow, I've been walking everyday, trying to get up to the 3 strength training sessions in each week even though work is conspiring against me! So far- MTD-38 miles 3 sessions, will try harder!
  11. Wow, that is a stark liquid diet. Can you at least have 2 protein shakes a day?You can take your protein shake and blend it with some yogurt, lots of ice, and a little splenda or stevia or something, it will make it sort of like a milkshake, it's not cheating 'cause it's still liquids and on your diet, you can get it pretty thick with the ice and it's not bad. You can also if you make your own jello, blend in some yogurt right before it's fully set up and it makes kind of like a parfait, would still be on your diet. Alternate between having the cold stuff and maybe some broth, it kind of makes you feel like you are having a meal. You know, hot soup and then the yogurt parfait for dessert? Hope this helps.

I have chosen to keep my surgery and details to myself, I only told my hubby, son and daughter in law, and my boss(because I needed the 2 weeks off). I have been on diets forever, so people just naturally assume that some new diet I'm on is working, and I don't tell them anything different. It helps that I lose slowly, only 1-2 lbs a week so it's not a rapid "OMG, are you sick, what did you do to lose weight?" If someone was to point blank ask me if I had surgery, I would probably tell them, especially if it was someone that could benefit from WLS.
  13. What are you allowed for your liquid pre-op? Every doc is different, did they give you a calorie count to stay under? Are you getting protein in? If you can have it get some unflavored protein powder and add an extra scoop to one of your liquids it might help to fill you up. Go out of the room where they have the pizza, brush your teeth, drink lots of liquid and find something to keep yourself occupied. Let me know what you can have, I might have some ideas for you,
  14. You look great, but tell us, what did you have to do to get all those beads???? Do we really want to know?
  15. Day 6, ok so only 3.5 miles today, i'm slacking, will try harder tomorrow, so MTD-22.5 miles 3 strength training sessions.
  16. You look wonderful, it's totally up to you and your body as to what weight you feel comfortable at. Congrats on your success!
  17. day 5, I forgot to post for day I think, so 4 miles for day 4, 3.5 for day 5 and 1 strength training session MTD-19
  18. You look fabulous, congrats to you for all your hard work!
  19. If this is what seems to work for you, OK, everyone is different. For me, I know if I eat too many carb choices I gain weight. Doesn't matter if I'm in my calorie range for the day or not, I will gain weight on carbs. I just have really bad genes I guess. I used to live on a farm and when they wanted to fatten up the pigs before taking them to market, they fed them lots and lots of carbs, breads, potatoes, ect... so for me that is enough proof that too many carbs aren't good for anyone, people or animals. I on occasion have a small amount of good carbs, like winter squash or sweet potatoes, and that is enough to cut my carb longing for a while. I have had some potato chips, and also some popcorn, but when I did I didn't lose and weight that week.I also use Stevia for a sweetener, doesn't have an effect on my blood sugars and is a natural sweetener so I'm ok with it. Good luck on your journey!
  20. Congrats on wearing the quilted coat and belt, I too have avoided them and also that whole being able to tuck my shirt in and not have it look like I have a bum in the front is something that I'm looking forward to.
  21. I'm guilty of the filling other peoples plates with too much food. The other night my hubby said"Just how much do you think I can eat?" But talking about food or watching shows about food doesn't bother me, it's only the eating of it that gets me in trouble!
  22. Day 3- 4 miles walked MTD-11.5
  23. Now that my sleeve is healed up I can drink water however I want. Even drinking it fast is ok, I just can't drink a whole glass all at once, I don't think that there is enough room in there. LOL
  24. Lookin' good, keep it up!
  25. I went back after 2 weeks, probably could have gone back sooner, I felt pretty good but I had scheduled 2 weeks off work so I took both weeks.
