Hi Everyone! My surgery date 3/25 or maybe 3/26 it was very late night.. Anyway
SW: 285
CW: 250
Goal: 145
Feeling VERY GOOD!! & Excited to lose the rest. =)

It gets easier. At first, I was using Crystal Light all the time( fortunately Crystal Light started tasting different too - most of the time I couldn't handle the sweetness of it & tea with lemon or peach used to be my absolute favorite, but now my taste buds hate tea lol) now I find I can drink plain Water without any issues, no matter the temperature. Keep in mind everyone is different though, I have been extremely fortunate with my sleeve and have been able to tolerate everything I have tried so far including skim milk. Although, water did and sometimes still does sit in me like a brick. Only takes a few minutes to pass. I'm 6 weeks out tomorrow & am back to drinking water almost normal (except I can't gulp like I used to), just try to do anything to get the liquids in as almost nothing is worse than feeling dehydrated (my trip to the ER my second week out was SO NOT FUN) I hope y'all start easing your ways with water soon! Good Morning everyone.. For those of you who are scared... Nervous freakn out.. I must say its not bad AT ALL.. I woke up with some pain of course but the nurse finally came & gave me my handy dandy button.. & I'm still feeling some pain but its doable.. I feel like I slept SOOOOO good!! LOL!! I've already gotten up for a walk & went pee.. I'll keep you posted @ how my days going. You all have nothing to worry about.. =)

Funny you just described how I feel EVERYDAY!! You look great!! I can't wait to feel as good as you do! Congrats on the loss! ????

I had surgery this last Wednesday. I will tell you I called Tuesday night and was debating cancelling my surgery. I didn't. Day 1 I slept most of the day but walked anytime I was up. Day 2 I slept on and off and walked. Day 3 I was holding down fluids and still walking. When people say each day gets better they aren't lying its the truth. You will be happy you have commited to changing your life! I had a lot of apprehension prior to surgery but don't regret it now. Each day is getting easier! Good luck to those of you having surgery soon!

Your all gonna be fine, I second guessed myself all the way up till I was laying in the bed waiting for the anesthesiologist. Once I got that pre shot I knew there was no backing out. Now, almost 6 months later, I feel blessed that I got the opportunity to have this life saving procedure. All of you will be back on this site months later reading newbies worried about surgery date and thinking to yourselves its gonna be a breeze for these rookies and they'll be loving life in a few months.

I'm having surgery on Tuesday, but I guess I'm extra-anxious because I started second guessing myself on Thursday!! I'm through most of that now, but I have been having many of the same fears. I've been overweight since before puberty, so I have no idea what I look like at a healthy weight. I'm sure it will bring with it a slew of emotional issues. I'm looking into starting with a therapist who specializes in disordered eating to help me through the transition. Good luck to all of us getting sleeved this week

In right there with you. I'm scheduled to arrive at 5:30 and surgery at 7:30. I've had many thoughts of maybe I shouldn't do this or what do you think your doing?? I too have not been thin/ healthy for a long time. When I see the before and after pics that's what motivates me. I'm other wise healthy besides from being fat. Just the last couple of years when my weight has crept up to its highest my Bp been going higher sugar levels going up getting more outta breath when walking..etc..
I'm so ready! Yes it's ok to be scared and I'm sure well have over regrets after its done. But we're gonna look awesome and feel great! Good luck to you tomorrow. Maybe we can catchup when were in the hospital. :-)
