jamiewilli how could i ever "yell" at someone as nice as you????
also - "we" never use the word "only"
you didn't only lose 35 lbs
    YOU LOST 35 lbs!!!!
    thats terrific
you are right on target with your weight loss
some people might have lost more than you, others less
the one thing we all have in common is that we're all different
you are sooooo early post op - your tummy is still healing
please only eat soft food, maybe some solids too per doc/NUT
you know you shouldn't be eating pizza, wings or stuff like that
    so i won't mention it
    the expression is.............
just because you can, doesn't mean you should
    talk to your NUT/surgeon
go to a support group where you'll meet other sleevers
you know what to do and what NOT to do
this surgery will/does work, as long as you follow the rules
    please don't sabatoge yourself now
thinking, you've never had success before, so why now????
the reason now, is you have a helper in the sleeve
your tummy is so little - its "supposed" to hold only a small amount of food
you don't vomit if you eat too much?????
    many people don't
don't push yourself to get sick
i know you can do this - got to mentally tell yourself that "this time you will do it"
you can and will do it!!!!!
    take care
    good luck
    kathy

I just have to say that I'm so sacred this surgery isn't going to help me, I feel like I always try to eat right but with such a busy life it's so hard! My surgery date was 8/1/13 and I have only lost 35lbs. I'm just so scared all the time, like what if I'm not eating right, or what if I'm eating too much. Eating is very painful for me but I still eat, I live every day feeling nauseous and can't throw up no matter how hard I try. I started working out at curves and feel that that is a good thing, but feel like it's not enough. I am always scared I am stretching my stomach out. I really dont want to have gone through everything to fail again. Tonight I ate a little piece off thin pepperoni pizza & 2 little wings, then think to myself hhhuummm... should I be able to eat that much and as I am writing this wish so bad I could puke. I am writing this here cause I hope someone will get what I'm saying our understand, so please don't be mean or talk rude to me I do that enough to myself. Thank you for letting me vent!

I was sleeved on the 14. I was down 20 pounds after 12 days but haven't weighed since. I see the surgeon tomorrow. I came home with a drain but they took it out after 7 days. No big deal. I went back to work after 4 days but I do find I need an afternoon nap occasionally. I'm on phase 3 of my dr's plan which is soft food. I struggle to get in my 70 grams of Protein. I feel like I'm constantly shoving food down my throat to get the protein in!! It's hard! But I suspect that once I start eating solids, it will be easier. At least, I'm seriously hoping. Anyway, I haven't had any issues. I feel better than I did before surgery, plenty of energy, no more grouchy than usual, lol. Already down one size. hope it's always this good!!!!!

I'm 11 weeks out and not quite to the 100's yet. I'm soooo weighting (pun intended!) to get there
But, I'm starting to get into size 16 now and XL shirts. It's nice to be able to start to buy off the racks again! It's been so long!
My bra hasn't gone down much though...LOL I'm wondering how much it will
2 more lbs then comes Onederland!! Bring it on!
Awesome job, Celina! Keep up the good work

Good for you! Hope your recovery goes well.
The hunger you are feeling is probably stomach acid. Did you get a prescription for an acid blocker? If no, you can get chewable Pepcid that will help.
Also, are you drinking broth with salt? That helped me when real food was around. Plus Protein shakes and Jello can get so sweet after awhile.
Good luck on your journey. It's going to be amazing!

Hey guys. She just texted me a few hours ago ( 2 1/2 days post op) and said "I'm alive, anesthesia kicked my ass, just woke up." That was all I've gotten out of her but the good news is she's alive. Thank u all for good thoughts!

I can't believe I'm really posting this picture. It's been a long 8 months and I'm a slow loser, but with the help of my fabulous sleeve and the insanity workout program, I am down 97 pounds!! I've never felt so good, I feel ALIVE. I feel like I can be me and act and dress how I want and not worry about being judged because I am the fat girl. The sleeve was the best decision I have ever made for myself, I know I couldn't have done it without it. If your on the fence, please - do it for yourself!! I'm so glad I did.

I had all kinds of flavors for my Protein drinks before the surgery. After the surgery however I couldn't stand any of them. Even sugar free is to sweet! The moral of my story is that you probably shouldn't rely on what you like before the sugary. Your taste buds will be changing drastically soon.
Sorry, I know I didn't answer your question, but I wanted to throw that out there.

TN_Vols_MiMi reacted to McFoxie in 2-1/2 Months Post-Op & 60 lbs gone forever.... w/ pics
I've been a quiet follower in this site for some time now but this is my first actual post. I had surgery on 5/13/13 (about 2-1/2 months ago) and have lost a total of 60 pounds (including 20 lbs on the pre-op liquid diet that I only did for about 6 days). As most of us here have, I have struggled with weight problems my entire life. I can't remember when, besides maybe when I was about 7 years old, was the last time I was at a "normal" weight. Still I would diet and excercise on and off and lose some, and then regain it all and more, and I did this on and off throughout my life... Eventually I hit my highest weight ever (or so I thought) at 267 and I decided that I would try surgery. For the six months that I was required to be monitored by the nutritionist, I gained and gained until by the day of my surgery, I was 280 pounds! I was getting depressed and sad that I was not able to do things without being exhausted, I couldn't play with my kids like they wanted me too because I couldn't keep up, I couldn't wear the nicer clothing because I couldn't find any in my size - not the things that I wanted, and at night I couldn't sleep anymore because I would wake up gasping for air so many times in my sleep. I was at the point that I would sleep sitting down and even that didn't help....
Today I'm happy to report that I have been sleeved, I am eating as good as I can and as close to the nutritionist's recommendations as possible (although I'm not 100% perfect but I can say 90% of the time I am on point), I am exercising and I have soooooo much more energy and my self esteem is back. I've taken on mountain bike riding and I'm getting into road cycling and I love it. I mostly love how I can actually do these things and not feel like I'm dying and out of breath within the first few minutes like I would in the past. I'm a total of 60 pounds lighter at 220lbs as of yesterday and I feel GREAT. I am looking forward to the next several months to see how much I can progress and honestly, to the rest of my new life, because at 30 years old, I felt like an older person before but now I feel like I'm 21 again. I'm loving this!

My surgery was July 19. My starting weight was 260 and I am down to 236 in just a month. But the most important thing is I'm off all blood pressure meds, diabetes meds and cholesterol meds. I feel really good.

I found out yesterday that I was approved and my doctor's office went ahead and scheduled my pre-op appt. for August 20th and surgery for August 27th! I am so excited!!! My doctor required me to lose 13 lbs prior to my surgery and I had lost that, but then gained a few lbs over the past month. I have been trying to lose it the past 2 weeks, but haven't been able to. I decided to go on the liquid diet and see it that helped...which it did! Today is my 3rd day and I have lost 3 lbs. I still have to lose 1 more pound before the 20th, but my goal is to lose 2-3 more lbs just in case my doctor's scales are slightly different than mine. I have also been trying out some new Protein Shakes and found several recipes that I like. I ordered the unflavored Unjury and got it in the mail today. I will try it tomorrow.
