  2. Yayyy! Best of luck to ya and here's to a speedy recovery! Keep us posted on how ur doin!!!
  3. Well we are our worst critic... There are lots of good threads on here with food ideas. My surgeon does not allow regular food till at least 8 weeks out. Make sure you are trying to make the best food decisions as there is still a risk for leak at this point. Dont be too hard on yourself.
  4. I am not in Oregon but my doctors office requires us to attend support groups. Can you look into any wls support groups in your area? Just a suggestion...
  5. I think that stalling is completely normal. Just because the scale is not moving, does not mean that your body is not changing. Question, not meaning for this to sound harsh but, just because you had your surgery in Mexico there still should have been some planning and researching done. WLS is a drastic change and to go have the surgery without any planning on diet changes is surprising to me. Have you done research as to what you should and should not be eating? What kind of things are you eating now?
  6. Happy Birthday!!! I do not think that you have messed anything up... Did you have a certain amount of weight to lose or was the pre-op to just shrink the liver? I will have to start my two week diet in the next week or so and I am not looking forward to it at alllll!!! Sorry that you guys have been passing that stupid flu around...
  7. I have not been sleeved yet but this is one of the things that I worry about. I already have issues with constipation and tummy aches because of it. I am curious to see what kind of answers you get. Constipation is not fun and can be very uncomfortable.. Hope you feel better soon and can find a long term solution....
  8. Well, I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I was sooooo anxious for my insurance approval... I have seen so many stories about insurances denying people that I was really really worked up over it. What insurance do you have? Are you stressed about the approval??
  9. That looks like a nice scale, Icon!! Thanks for posting this link.. I think I may purchase this one!!!
  10. That is awesome!!! Is that the first time you have stepped on the scale since your surgery? I have heard that when you come home from hospital that your weight goes up from all the fluids you get in the hospital??!?! You are rockin!!!
  11. Heck ya you can tell the difference!!! YOU are beautiful and making great progress!!!! Still waiting on my date but will for sure be in April!! I can not wait!! Keep up the great work!!
  12. So exciting!!! You got this!! and to be first up so you dont have to wait, bonus!!!!!! Cant wait to hear from you after surgery!!! Good luck and we will talk with ya soon!!!
  13. Yayyy!!! Great feeling when you have everything done!! Do you have to go through insurance approval???
  14. Where is the dislike button for this?????
  15. Congrats!!! I hope to be getting that "approval" call here in the next couple of days. My doctors office submitted to my insurance yesterday.. WLS is a covered benefit under my plan but it still does require prior authorization... I am so nervous!!! ~Janna
  16. I too have Cigna and my paperwork was submitted yesterday morning... I am so anxious i can barely contain myself!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I am not a smoker but... My doctor does a blood test for nicotine and if it is in your system, the surgery is cancelled... Janna
  18. So are you saying that you have lost 21 pounds? In one month? I am still awaiting my insurance approval but, I know that there is no way that I could ever lose 11 pounds or 21 pounds in one month.. Keep your head in the game.. You are doing amazing and I know in a couple weeks you are gonna be singing a different tune!!!! Good luck sweetie!
  19. I am looking for some positive experiences with Cigna... My doctors office is submitting to my insurance this week and I am more anxious now than i have been the whole last 6 months. Here is what they are submitting I have a BMI of 40 I am on medication for high blood pressure PCP clearance Cardiologist clearance 3 month dr assisted weight management Eval and recommendation from bariatric doctor Psych eval and clearance Only thing that I can not prove is that I have been at a 40 bmi for 24 months or greater... But, no where does my coverage info state that is required.. I am really having trouble with my patient coordinator and I am actually calling and speaking to her supervisor first thing tomorrow morning as she has told me on two occasion that she was submitting to insurance but when I call to Cigna, nothing has been recd.. So frustrated with her.. This process is very stressful and I dont thing she gives a crap.. Thanks!!! Pray for 8 (approved = 8)
  20. WOW!! Totally admire you! You really have your head in the game!! I had originally went to the surgeon and i was dead set on getting the lapband. My doctor was completely honest with me and my expectations. My doctor is pulling away from doing the lapband as so many people have problems and end up needing another procedure. After doing more research, I am 100% happy and confident with my decision!!!
  21. I will absolutely be around and keep everyone posted.. Was May the soonest you could get in or was that the date that worked best with your schedule
  22. Woohoo May 11th!!! That is so exciting! I am awaiting approval and I hope that I hear something this week. I am so scared of denial. I am so ready! My drs ofc said that once they get the insurance approval, they can schedule me about two weeks out. So hard to believe that I started this in October and I could be having my surgery in April!
  23. Hello everyone! I know that this thread was started several months ago but was wondering if anyone is still out there!! I live in Gilbert and I am waiting on pins and needles for my insurance approval! My physician is at Banner Bariatric and I am seeing Dr. Schuster. He is super nice and very honest. I would love some support if anyone is still out there!!!
