  1. Scrambled eggs were on my purée list. If you can have those I would just order a single egg with nothing else.
  2. I feel you! And why does every commercial have to be food! It makes me want to smash my television.

  8. My BMI was just under 40 when I had surgery and just about every pre op appt. I had that wasn't with my surgeon I was told by the nurses that I wasn't even "that big" and I "didn't need" the surgery. It made me so mad. I was also told this by many family and friends. For me I have lost 50lbs a few times in my life. It lasted about 5 seconds and all the work that I did would be ruined within a few months. I had about 90-100lbs to lose (don't know where I want to be goal wise since I have never been that small). This is our lives, we know what is best for us! I have lost 52lbs in just over 8 weeks and feel amazing! To heck with what anyone else thinks!
  9. After you do it do you just have instant relief and that is it? I am concerned that I will have an upset stomach or diarrhea all day!
  10. Hopefully the new surgery relieves your acid pain and your recovery is easy. To me trying to gain weight is a scary slope. I would be afraid I would fall back into bad habits! You will do fine!
  11. The first few days after surgery I was miserable. I think it was the anesthesia and morphine. Once I was home, aside for some gas and back pain I have had a great recovery. I am down 49lbs and I will be 8 weeks post op tomorrow! I feel more energetic and have more confidence already. I do miss food but I keep telling myself that is a small price to pay for my health!
  12. I am on 7 days no BM and I am 8 weeks post op. this is normal for me. I usually go once a week and have to use a laxative for relief. I have talked to my nut and tried everything else. Only a laxative worlds! Ugh!
  13. I am from Salem County NJ. Sleeved 5/22/13.
  14. I have a stomach bug but I hit Onederland today! So exciting! Hopefully when I am not sick my weight doesn't creep up over 200lbs! Congrats everyone in their success!
  15. I am battling a stomach virus at 7 weeks post op. i am so nervous! I can't keep anything down! Any advice?
  16. I am almost 7 weeks post op, 46lbs down and very happy with my decision. The first few days I was MISERABLE! I thought I ruined my life and even now some days are hard but nothing worth it ever easy!
  17. There was a lady in my nutrition class who was not telling her husband. The only people who knew were her best friend and her best friends husband who were both sleeved. I can't imagine keeping it from my husband!
  18. At 6 weeks I moved to my normal texture food. I eat egg beaters, low fat cheese, turkey sticks, almonds, tuna salad, chicken, cottage cheese, some fruits and veggies, turkey pepperoni, black bean burgers, turkey smoked sausage, Canadian bacon, cheese sticks, laughing cow, beans. Lots of stuff. Try to stay high portion, low carb, low sugar, low fat. I do have to eat some high fiber fruits even with sugar/carbs so I can have regular BMa.
  19. I was released for elliptical and treadmill very early on but my do said arm exercises (especially over my head) needs to wait until 12 weeks post op. I didn't ask about crunches or sit ups. Just wondering when you were able to do these? Thanks!
