  1. Hello, I was banded on 1/5/05 and experienced exactly what you are feeling. I did'nt want to eat or even drink. I had allot of problems with gas from the laparoscopy so they made me feel even more full/uncomfortable. It will get better but as previously recommended, ensure your getting enough water. Soon you'll feel those hunger pains and not feel like you are now will all the swelling....."this too shall pass!". Welcome and good luck!!
  2. Just had my first follow up since my surgery two weeks ago. 8 pound weight loss, so I'm very excited. Now I progress to Bari 4 diet for two weeks, then move toward solids for the following two weeks....and then my first fill. I'm very excited!! I love this site and its nice to hear the support from everyone. So far its been a smooth ride and I'm looking forward to the future! Thanks everyone for the warmest welcome!
  3. Thanks so much! I will try tomorrow after my first weigh in and follow up visit!! Looking forward to watching that ticker tape win the race to the right side !! THANKS AGAIN!!
  4. Samy, thats interesting....a day before me!! Looks like your well on your way...I wish you lots of luck as you take this new journey!!
  5. I'm new to this site.....so if you could offer some helpful hints....looks like everyone has the little mile marker at the bottom of their responses...How do you do that?? Do you always hit quick reply, or what's the quote for?? Sorry....as I said...I'm a newbee!
  6. I'm female. I'd love to lose 90-100 pounds....thats my dream...we shall see. It's so nice to have received so many welcomes and well wishes. I'm so glad I found this site!!
  7. Hello everyone!! I just got banded on Jan 5, 2005. I researched the band for several years prior and finally took the plunge just about two weeks ago. I struggled my whole life with obesity and the constant yo-yo syndrome. I was very fortunate to have the procedure and all aftercare covered by my insurance. I'm doing quite well and have my first follow up this Wed. I thought it would be nice to have some support out there so I discovered this site and have spent hours reading through. Thank you everyone for your posts. I was especially interested in learning more about the fills, since I've not experienced that yet. Thanks again!
