I had a hida scan in 2011. The normal gallbladder ejection fraction is between 35% and 75%. Since my rate was 44%, it was still considered normal and wasn't removed. This is something I am going to discuss with my surgeon because I still have gallbladder issues and would hate to get sleeved only to turn around and need gallbladder removed shortly after. -

I started my journey in January and was told today that I would need 7 visits in 6 months....since my first appointment was in January, my last one will be in July and then they will submit to insurance. -

I have never had any kind of surgery and I don't have a surgery date yet.....but the thought of being put under scares the heck out of me too! I find myself obsessing over that and worrying about getting a blood clot.....especially after a fellow VST'er recently passed away from that complication. But in the end, I think we have to keep telling ourselves that this surgery is going to get us healthy and just stay focused on that.

Great job!! No, I haven't had mine yet. I'm still doing my 6 month supervised diet that's required by my insurance. I've had some of my testing done already...I do my sleep study Friday. I get more excited and more anxious every day:)

It's important to note that family medical leave is UNPAID leave, unless the employee uses vacation/sick leave during the absence.

You referred to your bariatric surgery binder...I was wondering if this is something the dr's office gave you and if so, when did they give it to you? -
Single in Oklahoma....haven't had a real relationship since my hubby passed away in 2007. I'm still pre-op and am looking forward to being sleeved. However, the thought of dating is extremely terrifying:)

I cannot stand plain water either, Kristina J. I am still pre-op, but I have to use lemons or Mio in mine and wonder if I will always have to do that.

I had a PFT (pulmonary function test), chest x-ray and EKG. Then at my pulmonary appointment, he went over the results of my chest x-ray and PFT, then ordered a sleep study to see if I have sleep apnea. He said I was good to go for surgery, he had no concerns. I had to reschedule my cardiologist appointment, due to bad weather, so I will see him this month to go over the EKG and see what he says.
