  1. For me it was the same way going up. At some point too big just became too big and each new pound was just another pound. My mind is an A-hole. Nothing is ever good enough for it, and now, since I stopped feeding it doritos to shut it up it desperately tries to sabotage me. I celebrate every victory. Every pound lost will be remembered even if I can't see it. 200 pounds down is an incredible victory! Congrats!
  2. I joined gwynniebee on the free trial to check it out. The funny thing is that I still ordered a size to big. I ordered Friday and received on Tuesday.
  3. I'd love to hear from vets who went through a relapse experience and successfully overcame it. Tools and strategies for taking back your tool would be most welcome!
  4. I'm finding that the life I was willing to live 85 pounds ago is boring the hell out of me now. So I tend to eat crap more often than I should to kill the boredom. I'm looking for a new job and a life which more accurately reflects who I am. Something interesting better happen soon.
  5. Your stronger than I. I would have said "yeah, you don't look that addicted. You should just smoke less and breath more." You can't understand someone else's addiction unless you are willing to confront your own. Not that I'm bitter. Lol
  6. Ummm... I lost 85 pounds and 17 inches but gained half an inch in my butt. I can see where this is going and its not gonna be pretty. Lol
  7. Must a been one hell of a salad!
  8. Yay gods! Clawingly sweet was my fear!
  9. I just saw chiobani now makes a stevia sweetened 100 calorie Greek. Can't wait to try it.
  10. I had really intense food dreams every night for weeks. What's worse is that I decided on becoming a vegan chef and opening a restaurant with the help of Jamie Oliver. I even purchased a book on how to do this. I was convinced of this epic reality even though I have no cooking skills. Whether awake or asleep everything was about food.
  11. I could no longer be certain I was properly clean, if you know what I mean.
  12. I have a similar issue. I still gravitate towards safe drapes. I have not an inkling of what my "style" is because I'd never allowed myself to have one. So I tooled around the net for a bit and imagined I had a body I wanted to decorate rather than hide. Low and behold, my "style" appeared! I won't really buy clothing yet but when I do, this is going to be a good time!
  13. I'm surprised weight loss hasn't increased my sex drive more. I have had a libido lack since I started Zoloft. Hoping weight loss will eventually lead to a reduction of the Zoloft and subsequently an increase in mojo. The good news is that its no longer a hardship.
  14. I wonder the same. I guess we shall see!
  15. Bipolar here. While its a wild ride while your chemistry and your brain adjust to this massive shift of habits, it is eventually a force for positive change! Much happier, much more even tempered and socially confident. Preparation, full self awareness and strategy planning.
  16. Wow! I'm so happy I'm not crazy (this time).
  17. Any other post ops find they cannot warm up? Skinny folk must be cold!
  18. At the health food store they have tea tree toothpicks which helped me control the physical habits if smoking. Good luck!
  19. I always wondered how skinny women shaved their pits!!
  20. I want to save everyone! I'm so excited and I remember the hopelessness of pre surgery life. Resisting the urge. So glad its not just me!
  21. Thanks. I've always had a reverse dysmorphia and clearly have body perception issues. I thought this one was specific to me. I wonder how the brain creates such discrepancy. I also wonder why my importance is so connected to appearance. Glad I'm not the only one.
  22. Congratulations! You've managed to succeed at losing a HUGE amount of weight despite your willingness to sabotage your success. Everyone has a different motive for self abuse. Mine is shame. Having the surgery is a massive step toward self love and if it were easy to love oneself we wouldn't be here now. Be brave. Take another massive step toward self-love. Commit to a lifetime of radical self care. The minute you begin to negotiate that self love you decrease your value. That's your signal! Soak your feet in an oil bath, paint your nails, do some yoga, homemade facial; indulge in a behavior which nourishes your mind and body. But before you set your toes in that decadent hot oil, make a plate of apple slices and almond butter, some cheese and olives, almonds with salt and rosemary or avocado, cheddar and salted cuke slices to nibble on while you soak! Nourishing food can be an act of self love too!
  23. 83 pounds down in 7 months and loving living my life. Still, over halfway to goal, I cannot take a picture that I like enough to post. But in the mirror, I'm so happy with my appearance. What's my deal? Thoughts?
