  1. I find I am harder on myself now than before the surgery. It has been a great journey, but still not happy with the way I look. Never cared before surgery.
  2. Hi everyone! I was sleeved on 2/26. I am down 48 lbs. I exercise five days a week and eat a strict Atkins type diet. Lean proteins, small amount of veggies. When I have to have something sweet (which I never had before surgery by the way) I have a slice of orange, unsweetened applesauce, a few grapes. I am working hard on the hunger issue. I have physical hunger if I do not have at least 72 oz of water a day and do not eat as instructed (every few hours). I still supplement with protein shakes. It has been a journey. I do not regret one minute, but it has been a huge lifestyle change. Everyone sounds as if they are having great success. Keep up the good work.
  3. Yes, it is! Thanks! Good luck to you!
  4. Last night, I ate 4 boiled shrimp, one tiny bite of beef sausage and one bite of broccoli salad. It was too much and I ate way too fast. End result....I threw up. Afterwards, I felt like a human again. We were at a dinner party and I was just caught up in visiting with the others around me. I am still learning about taking 25-50 counts to chew before swallowing and taking at least 20 minutes to eat a meal. I was sleeved on 2/26 and am still learning. Down 41lbs though, so still happy. Mad at myself more than anything for overeating.
  5. Had red wine last weekend. Got about 1.5 oz down and I felt sick.
  6. Why am I so hungry? Taking two famotidine per day. Eating tums. Also, weight has stalled.
  7. You are all incredible people!!!!!!
  8. Good for you! We are on the same schedule! My surgery was 2/26 also and I am down 28 total in 30 days. 18 pre op and 10 post op. tomorrow will be two weeks since surgery. What a journey! Keep it up!
  9. Hi everyone! My surgery was 2/26. I feel really good! Dealt with hunger issues on full liquids, but Purees are holding me. Thank goodness! I was worried that the purees wouldnt work, but they do. i got very creative yesterday premaking my purees. Pureed creamed corned beef has actually been good! I am down 28lbs in one month....this includes my pre op weight loss. Walked 1.5 miles today and plan to do a workout video later today. Feeling motivated and good! Putting my plug size clothes in a bin the moment they feel too big! Very excited about this journey!
  10. Ok, I re assessed and am feeling better! I have not even doing enough protein shakes. I started adding one extra scoop of unflavored protein to my shakes and it took care of it! Thank goodness!
  11. All I can suggest is walk, walk, walk! It really helps!
  12. Anyone hungry 8 days out? I think I felt it today, not sure. Worked through it.
  13. My surgery was 2/26. I feel good and am ready to go home. The doc said I can go horn tomorrow once I resume my Coumadin. This has been a good experience. I have walked ALOT! I am eating full liquids today. I feel good about this!
