  1. Thank you so much. Hmmm.... what else to tell you. I am a mom of two boys - 11 and almost 4. Happily married to a very supportive man. He is overweight as well and we are hoping (I am) that as a result of my cooking smaller meals that he will benefit from my surgery as well. A tip my nurse gave me (who is also banded) is when you go out to eat to share a meal with your spouse in the case where they need to lose too. It saves money and makes sense since the portions at restaurants are HUGE! Anyway... I appreciate you all making me feel at home. Thank you in advance for your support, ideas and well... taking the journey with me.
  2. I keep getting hiccups.... actually, that should be HICCUP (not plural). Several times a day I get one hiccup. Any idea what that is about? Think it will hurt my band since I am less than two weeks post op? I am on full fluids if that means anything... Never in the world did I think a hiccup would worry me, lol. HELP!
  3. I am newly banded so can really help but wanted to let you know I am sorry for the loss of your Grandma.
  4. and so ready for this journey. So far, everything has gone smoothly. I had some bad muscle spasms the first week but those have subsided the past few days (from where the port lies on the muscle). I am on day 5 of 14 of full fluids and already bored. BUT it is better than the week of clear fluids I was on. Still learning to tell if I am REALLY hungry or just wanting to eat. Anyway, looking forward to getting to know all of you!
