Hi Guys it's been months since I posted, I got really down about the whole thing and decided I was unhelpable. I have had 7 fills and now I think the restriction will get some fat moving. I can still eat some things to excess (CHIPS!!!!) but meals are definately smaller and I have to do the small bites and chew well or I am in a world of hurt. It's weird to go somewhere and order the smaller serve or half of something and actually mean it!!! I have lost 13 kg since June 27 so I won't win any contests but I am grateful for that loss. I am going to try to hang around here and talk to you all, so glad you are still talking. Marga

Sweety how did your Friday fill go???? I had another one too, still not much change, I guess fill number 4 will be the magic one!!!! Hope you feel something in your band Marga

You go Lisa, sounds like you might have hit the spot. Can't wait till that happens, called my Doc and begged for another fill so I go Friday for number 3. Steph, it is quiet, I hope it's not because people aren't doing well. I am going to do better after my next fill, I can feel it in my bones (band). We are heading into summer and I so wanted to have a little less of me to drag around.!!

Sweety feelin your pain also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had two fills, very little restriction only occasional getting "stuck" if I eat too fast. I can eat whatever I want and almost as much as before. I have put on a couple of pounds in the last 2 weeks and I am super DEPRESSED. i am also thinking I am a failure at this along with all the other attempts at weight loss I have ever tried. I feel so hopeless right now, but lots of folk have had 4 or 5 fills to get that spot so we have to keep on going. I hate this

Thanks insub and Toni, I'm really going to try to stay here and not just go be alone in my misery which is what I always do. maybe I am feeling this wrong, I get confused with "stuck" "full" etc. I want to eat till I have the Thanksgiving full but I guess thats not the new full feeling. I shouldn't be able to eat three courses though RIGHT???? That means the food is still going through the band or I would be in agony????? I am going to be more assertive for my next fill. Marga

Had my second fill on Tuesday, now 3.5 in a 10 cc band. No restriction I can still eat like a fiend. I am really depressed, forcing myself to post because I always go away when things aren't working out. I thought this would be easier, or at least something.

Steph How is that possible that you only eat 700 cals and don't lose weight. That is soooo little. I really agree with the starvation theory. There are lots of studies to show that people who starve themselves lose weight more and more slowly as time goes by. One study with optifast (complete meal replacement drink) showed that people drinking that lost more than the other group who were fasting!! Anyway thanks for being such a great poster, I always enjoy you. QUESTION why can I eat a three course meal no probs and then another time get stuck on a couple of bites of something. Why does it vary so much???

Is THIS GOING TO WORK FOR ME. I am embarassed to say I can hardly read about others weight loss and success because I am having such a bad time and I feel so hopeless. Sad huh!!! I am eating just fine as always, I called the Doc and begged for a sooner 2nd fill (not 6 weeks away!!) and he will do it next week so I hope it change things. I need a lap band around my neck!!!!!!! Thank goodness for all you that talk about your difficulties, I hope the next fill does it for us all.

Hey Dawn I am with you. I have shed many tears lately about feeling nothing from my band. Still nothing after my first fill. I really need some help from my band too as so far it all feels the same as before. (me fighting not to eat and failing miserably) I knew the band was no miricle but a little something would do. It helps so much that others feel this way too, I am feeling very alone and miserable/hopeless right now.

Aw munch sorry to scare you, but i was all primed up for a non painful experience going by what everyone else was saying and it was YUK. my port area is still abit sore to press so thats probably why it hurt but i must say so far all my experiences have been more unpleasant than I have read about ( I think I'm just a wimp) !!!! Yours will be like everyone else's and you won't even know it's done. I don't even care about the pain I just wish I had some restriction!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK

Hey you first fillers, had mine Tuesday, it hurt alot and doesn't feel any different. 2cc in a 10 cc band. I wish I had some restriction as I finding this waiting thing tough. Janine, how do you feel now with the 5 cc in???

Dan you look so good, I wish i was you!!!! I wish I felt good enough to even want to post a pic, but blubberguts is still here. I had my first fill Tuesday and feel nothing, nada, zippo, zilch!!!! I can eat and drink anything at almost pre op speed. As I have said before I sure it's a kidney stealing crime organization and I don't have a band at all. :rolleyes I want so much to feel this elusive restriction thing, maybe next fill, it's so hard to wait so long till next time (6 weeks ) if it's not working why the heck don't they just put more in, I don't get it. I still binge too. Not as much (volume) at a time but I can still eat way too much in a day.

Well I wasn't worried about hair loss because I've got lots..... BUT I am developing a bald spot right at the front in the middle. Pretty soon i'm going to have to do a Donald Trump combover. #$%*&^ now I'm fat AND bald!!!!!:faint:
