  1. Sweety how did your Friday fill go???? I had another one too, still not much change, I guess fill number 4 will be the magic one!!!! Hope you feel something in your band Marga
  2. Sweety feelin your pain also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had two fills, very little restriction only occasional getting "stuck" if I eat too fast. I can eat whatever I want and almost as much as before. I have put on a couple of pounds in the last 2 weeks and I am super DEPRESSED. i am also thinking I am a failure at this along with all the other attempts at weight loss I have ever tried. I feel so hopeless right now, but lots of folk have had 4 or 5 fills to get that spot so we have to keep on going. I hate this
  3. Aw munch sorry to scare you, but i was all primed up for a non painful experience going by what everyone else was saying and it was YUK. my port area is still abit sore to press so thats probably why it hurt but i must say so far all my experiences have been more unpleasant than I have read about ( I think I'm just a wimp) !!!! Yours will be like everyone else's and you won't even know it's done. I don't even care about the pain I just wish I had some restriction!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK
  4. Hey you first fillers, had mine Tuesday, it hurt alot and doesn't feel any different. 2cc in a 10 cc band. I wish I had some restriction as I finding this waiting thing tough. Janine, how do you feel now with the 5 cc in???
  5. You guys I love this. I took my girls riding for 4 hours this morning then came back and took my son and his friend to see Simpsons (sorry I just don't like it) while my dh lay in bed and read a book ALL day. The breakfast dishes are still there. He said to me "do I have to babysit the girls?" YOU DON'T BABYSIT YOUR OWN CHILDREN I think he thinks because he works thats all he has to do. Just once I wish I could lay in bed all day and have someone else take care of life. So I ate too much, What's new!!!!!!!!!!!!! Marga
  6. Hey green have you ever tried a vibrator?? I would die without it as I have have trouble coming because of antidepressants. Thanks to you all for your wisdom and honesty. I have many of the same lack of sex with dh issues and am feeling SO fat and ugly today. I keep bringing it up and he keeps avoiding it. It used to be so fun. I don't want to realize one day that I am seventy and havn't had sex for 20 years.
  7. MusicalM Don't get too down about it. My Doc says this time till they get the fill right is hard for most and it's very common to put on weight. I am starving and have no restriction too,so it's just like the old days trying to diet and not succeeding right?? It felt bad then too. Now I am an ice cream FREAK so I really do know how you feel. If I had to choose one food for the rest of my life it would be ice cream. To satisfy that urge I blend frozen fruit (mango, banana) and low/no fat yogurt in one of those ice crushing powerful blenders and it really is yum. It's not triple choc but not too bad!!! Keep talking to us, the more we close off with our stuff the harder it is
  8. Hey I didn't have any restriction post op either, I think it's fairly common. Just do your best to stick to the diet to allow the healing to occur and not stretch the new small stomach before the band scars down. Small amounts more often can help keep the binges at bay. GOOD LUCK
  9. I mostly just hang in June band land too, I could sit and read all day but unfortunately my life won't let me. I also type like a snail so that's a little restricive!!! Spring sounds great for lots of us? Marga
  10. I want to come to, April/May would be OK. I just will need a fair bit of notice to organize it ( I'm sure everyone does)
  11. Toni do you feel anthing??? I am so desparate for my fill, hope this one does it for you!!!
  12. Make sure you take the pain meds if you hurt, don't be brave take them until you feel better, Good luck
  13. Hey finallythin if you are a failure so are the rest of us struggling at the same spotyou are I am 16 days post op and feel EXACTLY the same way but like they all say WE HAVE'NT HAD A FILL YET Hang in there are please let us know how you feel after the fill
  14. Thanks goodness for you all, I had surgery on the 27th and I would like the brick removed from inside my stomach. I can't figure out pain, hunger, full, burps, ( I loved that cheese with my whine thing, I'm still laughing) My surgeon told me the port has these claws that they activate once it's on the muscle (instead of sewing it on) SO NO BLOODY WONDER IT HURTS!!!
  15. And yet I am allowed pureed vege soup, yogurt, custard, second day after surgery. I questioned my surgeon about all the diff diets and he said they have found that as long as it is completely liquid (no lumps or bits) it dosen't make any difference to the risk of band slippage. Interesting huh???
