  1. Hey Jill!! I am Amanda and I am right there with you. I was banded in August ,2007. I lost 85 lbs. and was doing great, I stopped losing and went in for a fill and it has been down hill every since. Every time I get a fill I get terrible heartburn, waking up in the night with stuff in my mouth, it's terrible. Needless to say it got so bad my doctor had to take out all of my fill. Well, I am sure you know what happened I gained 50 lbs. back. I got a fill about a month ago and I am having a hard time getting back on track. I came on here tonight hoping to find some motivation. Good luck with your journey, hopefully we will both get there.
  2. I, unfortunetly had the worst experience with popcorn. I popped two pieces in my mouth not thinking anything about it. I spent six hours throwing up spit. Nothing would go down. I ended up having to go to the doctor. He pulled out my fill and I immediately felt it go down and was fine. Needless to say I dont eat popcorn anymore.
  3. I have benn banded since August, 2007. About 5 months after surgery I could eat about anything. So I decided I would eat some popcorn. Huge mistake, it got stuck requiring me to go to the hospital to take out my fill. I was sick throwing up for about 7 hours before I decided I had enough. Once the fill was out you could fill it go down immediately and all the pressure was gone and I was fine. It was wierd, but I will never do popcorn again.
  4. I just had surgery yesterday (8/3). I did not go to bed when I came home. I made it a point to drink plenty of Water. I also got up and walked around about every 30 minutes. I felt fine all day. A little sore when you get up and down, but not that bad. I did find I kept moving around a bit in my sleep to get comfy. Today, I have no pain still. I do have pressure I think it is gas. But I have been doing plenty of walking. My body is not hungry at all, but I do find I have head hunger. Oh, and by the way it took me 2 1/2 hours to get down an 8-ounce Protein shake this morning. I have not had to have any pain medication. I think it is all the moving around. GOOD LUCK!!
  5. I just had surgery this morning. I feel really good. I've been up walking up and down the sidewalk and driveway. A little bit sore when I get up and down but that's it. No pain med's. Hope it stays that way. I sure hope you feel better soon.
  6. I am going to be banded on Friday. My doctor told me if I ever got a virus to call him immediately and get in to see him. He says it is best to unfill until you are over it and then he would put the fill back in.
  7. Hello!! I am Amanda and I am scheduled for surgery on August 3. :clap2: I am from Knoxville, Tennessee.
