Throwing up concerns

Hey there guys,

Well, I got banded almost a month ago now, I am on solids and just had my first fill last week. But I seem to have caught a bug and I have thrown up twice today.

I was freaking out because everyone was saying that it is very bad to throw up, and I don't want to have anything wrong with me. Should I be concerned? I'm really worried that it could do damage, and make the band slip.

Hi Brumbie,

From what I understand you should call your surgeon right away as throwing up could cause the band to slip. He probably will prescribe you something. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better.

I am going to be banded on Friday. My doctor told me if I ever got a virus to call him immediately and get in to see him. He says it is best to unfill until you are over it and then he would put the fill back in.
