  1. Congrats on the band! & welcome to Bandland!
  2. 17 lbs is awesome! & to answer your question, yes it's normal. Some people have restriction before a fill & some don't. Just hang in there til your first fill. This is supposed to be your healing time anyway. Keep us posted! .....Jess
  3. The only pain I had post-surgery was gas pain. It was less than a week and I was back to normal. It will be over soon & you will be updating us on your progress! Smiles & hugs sent to you!
  4. Sounds like an awesome idea to me! But I will need some tutoring on listing pics! LOL!
  5. I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner Vines! I hope you are feeling better! I think you are a very wise woman & always have just the right things to say! You know I was banded in January & i have lost only 32lbs. So, I feel your pain. But I'm keeping my chin up! It's gonna work! It's just gonna take time. For me anyway. I don't know if it is true or not, but I was going to a weight loss clinic a couple of years ago & in the seminar the doc told us to embrace our plateaus or any times that the scales stop. He explained that our bodies are catching up with the weight loss. He said that the body gets rid of the fat from the inside out. Supposedly we lose it from around our organs first. If this is true it sounds like a good thing to me. Love ya Vines!.......Jess
  6. Welcome Beth! Hope to hear some good news soon!
  7. I haven't tried any of the stuff listed here except the crystal light & I'm just not a fan of it for some reason. I think I'm going to do some experimenting though! Has anyone tried Wyler's raspberry flavored sugar free drink? They sell it around the Crystal Light. I think it is really good!
  8. Lynn B - The powder I bought was from Wal-Mart. $8.00 for 14 servings. Brand - Advant Edge. Has Body for Life logo on the side & it is an Isolate. Thanks for the info! I don't know how it mixes with Water though. I'll try it later today for you & let you know. Tony Bia - I had heard that soy products were good for the change. My Aunt is going through it & everything she ingests has soy in it. LOL! She says it works. I have PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome). My hormones are way out of whack. I think I will stick with the soy! Thanks for the info!
  9. I have knee caps! LOL!
  10. It could be gas. But it might possibly be something to do with your lungs too. I still think I would go to my family doc & get it checked out.
