I'm New!!!

Hello Everyone,

I just decided to have the lapband. my bmi is 47 and I am ready to do something about it. I just got married in March, got a new house and a brand new car all this year. So I think I need a new look to go with all the other blessings God has given me this year. I have my 1st appointment with Doctor Richard A. Benavides in Texas on Monday August 29th, and I am excited. From what I hear he and his staff are awesome. I hope so. I'm not nervous because change is good. I need this in my life!!! Other than my weight I am happy with everything in my life. I have no medical issues and having this surgery pray will keep it that way. I'm on my way to being a LOOser!

Welcome aboard!! This was the best decision I could have ever made. I have a brand new lease on life.

Hi, fellow Texan! Your dr. and my dr. (Marsden) are in the same lapband group...but my surgery was in Ft. Worth, and yours will be somewhere else...Richardson, I think. YOu'll love the boards here...great! Come back often and read old posts, ask questions...you're sure to find friends and answers here. Cindy
