  1. Does anyone know of a good fill doctor in Arlington or Grand Prairie area in Texas? And that takes insurance? Thanks
  2. Hi guys thanks for all the enouraging words and congrats. I have actually had 3 fills since Jan 2007. the first was not enough it was 2.0 and then it went to 2.5 and i think that was too much! I then went back down to 2.0 but i still can eat. I feel the tightness in my chest when I eat to fast so I know there is restriction, but I still actually feel hungry. My stomach actually growls after I eat. What can i do?
  3. Hi, i've been banded since december 2005. I successfull lost 20lbs. I found out i was 6 weeks pregnant March 2006. So got completely unfilled immediately. Thankfully I only gained 18lbs with my preganancy and had a healthy 9lb 1 oz baby boy Oct 2006. I got refilled Jan 2007 and to date have not lost anything. I lose a 1lb gain a 1lb. I can still eat. There is minimal restriction. I'm sooooo discouraged and really need some encouragement and support from my fellow bandsters on what to do. Can you please send me some of you sample daily menus so I can try them please. I'm trying to hang in there but I'm so discouraged.
  4. Thanks everyone. I loved all of the replies and hold all the advise near to my heart. Of course I will post pictures of the baby. This is indeed a LBT baby. Thank you again for all of your prayers! God bless you all.
  5. I'm 2 months pregnant and just got unfilled. I'm still losing a little weight so I guess that's good. I just pray I dont gain a whole lot while carrying this baby. This is me and my husband's first child and we are "Very" excited! Keep us in your prayers. Oh yeah, I was banded Dec 16, 2005, when they say you become more fertile after you lose weight, believe it. I'm a true testimony.:clap2:
  6. I used Dr B, I was banded 12/16/05. he's great.
  7. I used Dr richard Benavides, he's off coit rd in richardson. He does his surgeries out of The surgery Center of Richardson. He's good.
  8. With my 1st fill i was filled 1.2 cc and felt hardly any restriction. I just monitored my eating to the best of my ability. I go tomorrow for my 2nd fill. Hopefully that will work, i want to be a LOSER!
  9. I ate soups and chicken broth for 3 weeks after surgery and then started mushies....oatmeal, grits.etc.
  10. Congrats Shari Lou. you are doing really well. The band seems to agree with you. You go girl!!!!
  11. they should fall off on their own in about 2weeks, if they have not gently remove them, by that time they should be lifting a lot so it wont be hard. As long as they are bleeding or puss coming out of them, it would be okay to remove them yourself. I was just like you. I called my doctors office twice because i was so anxious. Also, when you take them off there will be alot of sticky tape around the incisions. soap and water wont get it off. i used a cotton ball dipped in alittle of alcohol and went around my incisions carefully. it came right off.
  12. So far so good. I got my first fill today. 1.2cc, and I'm down 13lbs since banded on Dec 16th. I'm so excited. Thanks for all your support.
  13. I found that I ate out a lot. I ate alot of Olive Garden and On The Border. I ate a lot of sweets, breads, and anything with carbs. I had a bunch of "last meals" Everyday was a last meal for me!
  14. ok thanks. I think i'll wait til christmas, day 10, and have something really really soft.
