Gonna Take the Big Step

Hi,

I'm considering the LapBand and just trying to get up the courage to make the first call to the doctor about it. I found 2 docs in my area (Buffalo, NY) but don't know much about them other than that they are board certified in Bariatric Surgery.

If I decide to do it and get insurance approval I would ideally like to have it done just after the new year. I'm a grad student and would like to try and do it during a school break.

I have over 100 lbs to lose and have only lost weight really successfully once. I lost about 55 lbs and felt so great. Unfortunately when I left my job and moved to go back to school, I lost all sense of routine and motivation. In the last 2 years I have put it all back plus about 20 lbs more than when I started. Yikes!

I know I need to do something but the first step is always the hardest. Maybe I'll try to call tomorrow. Wish me luck. If anyone has had this done in the Buffalo, NY area, please let me know.

Thanks!
