  1. I'm bipolar as well so I worry about my emotions too. I also worry about how I'll handle my 5 day clear liquids only pre op diet without hurting anyone lol. I'm approved and scheduled for 10/3. Pre op appt is sep 16.
  2. Congrats! I hear ya on all your concerns. I have the same ones. I just keep telling myself it'll all be ok in the end, just show up for the surgery!
  3. I'm hoping to get an oct date. I'm waiting on insurance approval. Good luck to you!
  4. Good luck! Hope everything works out perfectly!
  5. Yay!! Now I just need to wait to hear back to schedule a date. So happy and feeling blessed. Good luck to all of you still waiting on approval. Mine came in just under 2 weeks.
  6. Mleoni092708 Please add me
  7. Thank you both for the kind words. Thanks for the info novaanne. Makes me feel better about fitting on the rides. Yeah I should have a talk with my mom. She doesn't know how much I'm suffering with my weight because I try not to complain. When I told her yesterday my feet were hurting she was like "really?". She had no clue I wanted to cry they hurt so much. Carrying around 120 extra lbs is hard on the feet!
  8. Went to an amusement park for the first time since I gained all my weight (5'4 250lbs) and it was awful. My feet ached horribly from walking and standing. I had several rides I barely fit in. I wanted to have a full on meltdown. My four yr old daughter had a blast. I was miserable. I NEED to get this weight off. Just another experience to remind me, despite all my fears, that I need this surgery. I'm currently waiting on approval. We're supposed to go to Disney before I get my surgery and I am so stressed about it. I seriously don't want to go. My mom planned the vacation and I don't want to let my little girl down by not going. What if I don't fit on the rides? God how humiliating, I just want to cry. I got heavy quickly from pregnancy then post partum depression which turned out to be bipolar and the meds made me gain soooo much weight. I just don't want to wait any longer. It's been 5 years I've been struggling with illness and weight gain, I want it to be over or I don't want to go on.
  9. I'm 5'4 and 250 as well. I would ignore these peoples comments as they clearly don't know what it's like to walk in our shoes. You do what's best for you and your health based on your research and gut feelings. Good luck!
  10. Thanks everyone! Good luck to you greeknugget. I'm laid off from work so I have nothing but time to dwell on it so I think I'll find some projects to do around the house or something to stay busy.
  11. Hope everything works out well for you.
  12. They submitted my info to insurance Friday. So 2-6 week wait on a decision. I really hope I'm approved. I jumped through all the hoops and then some! Cross your fingers for me guys
  13. I would call the doc. Could it be a stricture? Hope you are feeling better soon!
  14. Well it was about 15 seconds of pure suckiness but I survived. All looks good, clear for surgery!
  15. I'm here waiting for the numbing sution to work in my nose. Trying not to freak. Hope it's not too uncomfortable. I'll let you guys know how it goes in case anyone else ends up in my boat. This damn surgery better work and make me look like Heidi klum after all this bs!!
  16. Yes I was awake for my endoscopy. Thanks for letting me know what it's like. I'm really scared, I'm so over this. If I don't have it done the lung dr won't sign off a clearance for me for my surgery and game over. Son of a ....
  17. My lung dr is concerned about my airway and wants me to have it checked. I'm pretty sure it means a nasal endoscopy. Listen people I barely survived the regular endoscopy with lots of drugs and you want me to sit there with no anesthesia and let you put a scope up my nose??? God help me. When will all this test bs be over. I thought I was done and was getting ready to submit to insurance but I hit this roadblock. Anyone by chance have this done? I feel like every ounce of my anxiety disorder is being tested with the testing and the surgery so I hope I survive it. Any words of encouragement are appreciated, I'm kinda stressed. Thanks!
