  1. This is exactly how I feel too. I want to crawl in a hole until my surgery in 3 months.
  2. I don't know either, I second the ask your doc. I definitely wouldn't use any more until you talk to him/her to be on the safe side. Good luck with your surgery!
  3. So sorry this is happening to you! I'm sure it'll be ok. ((hugs)) and best wishes
  4. Yes!! It's awful. I have gained a few lbs fighting with this. I hope I can get it under control soon.
  5. I'm so sorry this happened to you! I'm sure the next time it'll go much smoother.
  6. So what happened to your tongue?? How on earth did they cut it?
  7. Hopefully you will get good news *crosses fingers*
  8. I would say your best bet is to get some help for that time, maybe a relative or friend, or a nanny or daycare? You'll work something out and all will be fine
  9. I'm terrified of the endoscopy too so not looking forward to that next month. I have all my tests scheduled in may and June. Maybe that'll help keep me busy lol. I hope I have an awesome recovery too! I am quite the wimp but I did survive a c section pretty well.
  10. Nah, nothing to be nervous about! Just take your questions and you should get lots of valuable info. Good luck!
  11. Thank you for the kind words and advice. I've been trying to start good habits and have been trying different protein shakes to get ready. Im nervous about the total lifestyle change too. I hope I can make enough changes now that post op won't be too traumatizing.
  12. All I do is sit around and dwell on my upcoming surgery in July. I obsess about it, my anxiety acts up, it's ridiculous. I just wish I could get it over with already! God I'm scared, but I want this so much.
  13. Thank you everyone! I agree maybe I just need to get moving and be more active, which'll help later anyhow. Maybe my mood swings could be better managed too, who knows? I want to have this under control by July (possible surgery month) so I won't totally freak post op when my food crutch is gone.
  14. I'm trying to beat this emotional eating thing and it's really getting me down. I have bipolar depression and anxiety and my 4 year old is driving me batty! The first thing I want to do when I get frustrated is eat. A lot. I feel like I just can't stop. And I know I need to get this handled before surgery. I'm terrified I'm going to ruin my sleeve experience cuz I can't figure out how to deal with my obsessive emotional eating. Any words of wisdom? I think I will ask my psych dr to start therapy this month. Any tricks to distract yourself when you feel out of control?
  15. I would say it depends on your bmi and your insurance requirements. If you go under say 40 bmi you wouldn't qualify, or 35 bmi with comorbitities. So I guess you could lose too much and not qualify so I would check with your insurance co. Good luck to you-you can totally lose those 7 lbs
  16. Had my first surgeons appt this morning. The PA tells me "your insurance doesn't cover the sleeve"...I thought I'd been punched in the face. To make a long story short I met with the surgeon asked him all my sleeve questions. Then I came home and called my insurance with the billing code and IT'S COVERED!!!! My plan must be the exception! I was so upset i could barely hold it together in the dr office when I though I couldn't get the sleeve. So stressful! But good news overall. And what a list of preop tests! Holy moly! I don't even know where to start!
  17. I hear ya! I've still got awhile to go before my surgery and I'm already freaking out lol. From what ive heard from others on here it's not so bad good luck to you!
  18. Best wishes! let us know how you are doing.
  19. Good luck to you! I still have 3 months of my 6 mth insur requirement left but maybe he'll schedule a date for 3 months out, I don't know. Hope I can sleep tonight!
  20. First appt with my surgeon tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what to expect? I have my list of questions for him (hope he has like an hour lol). I'm nervous cuz this really makes it official, I'm really doing this-eek!
  21. I have my first surgeons appt tomorrow and I'm curious too what to expect. Good luck at your appt!
