  2. Just curious how everyone is doing. I have put some weight back on n but have kept 100 lbs off 3.5 years later. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  3. I don't recall seeking medical advice. I recall asking a question about weight loss surgery on a weight loss surgery forum. Thanks to all who answered!
  4. I love when people answer a question with a question.
  5. I do still have my gall bladder. Planning on contacting them when they are in the office. Just curious if anyone ever heard of complications this long after surgery.
  6. I was sleeved about 3.5 years ago. Never really had any complications. Now all of a sudden I sometimes get cramping and back pain within a few hours of eating. Not everyday and not every time I eat something. Could this be from my sleeve? Or something completely unrelated?
  7. I've lost over 150 lbs. I started out losing 3lbs/week. After a while it went down to one. I can eat a lot more than before. Over the holidays I have gone up and down. Kind of stalled. Thinking I need more protein
  8. Almost 9 months out. I hit 150lbs lost today!! It is getting much harder. Had lost some weight every week until a few weeks ago when I gained two pounds. Did not get discouraged and kept working at it. Lost 3 lbs last week and one this week to get me to the 150.
  9. That depends on who you ask. My surgeon has told me there is nothing that is off limits. It is about portion control. I am almost 8 months out and dont drink soda. I did have a small glass of champagne and did not have any problems.

  11. Google Ghrelin. Its a hormone in the stomach that causes hunger. It is pretty much gone after surgery. It also regulates body temp. My whole life I was always hot until after the surgery. I believe the absence of this hormone has something to do with it.
  12. I have not had any changes as to what I like. Only the amount that I can eat. Of course I have not had any bread, pasta, rice or sugar since my surgery so I dont know if I still like those things. (pretty sure I will) I always heard that was more for the Bypass patients.
  13. A little over 6 months and I have broken the 300's and am into the 200's for the first time in over 10 years!!!
  14. Congratulations!! Great work. Looking good.
  15. I was on liquids for a month. I would say you are lucky not normal. It was very hard for me to get all my fluids in because of the restriction even with water.
  16. My wife has been sick for about a week and it finally got me. My throat is killing me. What can we take? No advil or anti inflammatory right?
  17. I was 432. Had surgery on January 30th. Down 100 lbs
  18. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!. On another note, I hit 100lbs lost this morning!!!
  19. I have eaten steak many times. He probably does not want you eating bread because it will take up room in your pouch that is meant for protein. Bread could also expand in your stomach and may cause discomfort this early on.

My mom got this from knee replacement surgery. That has been worse on her than the surgery. It is nerve damage so I am not sure if it will get any better. It has not for her.
  21. I bought some and think it is awesome. I do not advise mixing with protein shakes unless you are going to blend it. I put some in a shaker bottle and it got all clumpy. I put a little in a bowl and mix it with water. Just like peanut butter. You can make it as wet or as dry as you want and can add splenda or salt if you choose. Have not tried the chocolate yet.
