  1. Being almost 6 weeks out, I would do it again in a heartbeat! I already feel better than I have in years! .
  2. I wonder what their reasoning is for having you do the ketosis diet now is? To lower your BMI? A lot of docs have you do it right before surgery to shrink your liver.
  3. Oh yeah! You are so ready. Tomorrow you are going to change your life in the best way!
  4. Oh dang! Bless your heart. That is tough. Hang in there!
  5. It is so weird. I feel like I am sleeping better than I ever have before!
  6. Not a lot if choices, eh? So it is filling you up? That's good! I would say just keep doing what you can do. How many days before your surgery?
  7. Oh dang! I will be praying that goes well for you. The number 1 thing is to be completely confident in your decision. Don't leave any air of uncertainty. I had to get my gastro doc to agree with my decision to make my bariatric surgeon ok with it. I have had issues with a stricture previously. I was so nervous! But the gastro was totally cool and supportive!
  8. I had miserable headaches too! But you are almost there!
  9. I had a 10 day diet and there were times it got tough! What all is on your diet?
  10. I have a Ninja, too! Love it!
  11. Nice legs!! Great job!
  12. You can do this!!! I don't know your whole story, but if you are anything like me, I tried to do this on my own. I tried everything! I failed over and over. This surgery changed my life. I am succeeding. I don't feel out of control anymore. I don't lie in bed at night beating myself up because of all the poor choices I made. I don't worry or stress over food. I am not controlled by my obsession with food anymore. Imagine yourself boxing up your fat clothes and giving them away without fear you will need them again. Imagine feeling healthy and in control. You can do this! There is a thread on here somewhere where people talk about their regrets. The common theme is that so many of us wish we could have done it sooner! Be courageous!
  13. Weight Watcher's has a smoky mozarella string cheese out! It is so good. And it melts really well, too!
  14. A strange for me... I started sleeping through the night without having to use the restroom. I am not sure if this was because of quitting caffeine...or what. But I used to get up 3-4 times a night to pee. Now I rarely do!
  15. And...the crazy thing...I live in KS, but I work remotely for a software development firm. That firm is in Mass. Had I been covered by BCBS of Kansas, they wouldn't have covered the surgery! Crazy.
  16. That is great. They approved me super fast too. My doctor's office told me it would take 6 weeks to get approval. But it actually only took 3-4 days.
  17. Nausea post op! That was the worst for me. When they switched me from morophine to liquid hydrocodone, I had a real tough time getting that down! (But I felt so much better off the Morophine!) The other ugly part of this for me is the constipation. It sucks, and I have yet to combat that on a regular basis.
  18. I only had four of them while I was in the hospital, and they were with the tiniest if tiny needles. No pain at all when they went in, but they do sting a little after about 5 minutes.
  19. I agree. The only time I have tried to order my own plate, I end up taking 80% home in a box to eat for other meals!
  20. I am proud that I worked out twice.
  21. I agree! We have been married for 21 years. Ran off an eloped at 18 because he enlisted in the USAF. We raised two children, and I feel like if you can make it through raising kids without killing each other, you're golden!
  22. I don't think we have much fast food to get excited about! There isn't anything fast food I miss, anyways.
