You're last supper sounds delicious!! I went to culinary school so I'm a pretty good cook. Our Valentines Dinner/Last Supper will be Arrancini Balls with a pesto dipping sauce to start and Braised short ribs, asiago mashed potatoes, and garlic spinach for our main course! I'm sure I'll be content after that!

Hi Ladies,
Although my surgery isn't until April, it may be moved up a month. Will know in a week or so. Anyway, I am too scared to pig out prior to going in the liquid diet. This is a personal thing, but I am thinking that if I pig out prior it is going to be harder to give up. I struggle with several food adictions or trigger foods and I don't want that when I start the liquid. In fact, I did a liquid test a couple days ago and it was okay. Anxious to hear how you gals do.

i start mine on tues i am planning a "last great meal" for tomorrow as well so dont feel bad ....gearing up for my feb 26 surgery day. i am calling my meal the say goodbye to foods I should never want or eat again. its like a food funeral HAHA

18 days for me! I'm so excited ! I start my pre op tomorrow.. Not looking forward to that but I guess it makes it more real,,lol

yeah same here my insurance will only cover the palms because it is a center of excellence.. it sucks because i have a really great hospital right down the rd from me and my doc but we both have to drive .. oh well at least they are covering it.. and i am greatfull for that

Did u have it at the palms of Pasadena? I'm having mine there the 26th .. How was it .. I live 2 hr away from there so I haven't had a chance to check it out.. Thanks

Hi guys my name is Kerry and I live in Maryland. my date was February 6th ....Thats right!!.. I am offically sleeved!! Surgery day weight was 203.6 and a today I was 208.6. This gain is totally normal as they will pump you with fluids after surgery. I was self pay as i have no health issues other than obesity however my gall bladder needed to be removed so my cost was reduced tremendously. Unfortunatley when they got inside they found an additional hiatal hernia which had to be repaired. Yesterday I was miserable and was put on Morphine. I slept most of theday/evening and basically had only a few ice chips. This pain was not from the VSG surgery but from the hernia repair in which they had to stitch my diaphram. Ouch. Today was a entirely different story! I woke up feeling much better, walked several times, and consumed 30 ounces of liquid. I was sent home! Yes..i am snuggled up in my own bed recovering nicely and a walking on the tread mill every 5hours. I do have walgreens coming tomorrow to administar iv fluids (they sent me home with mine still in) for the next three days and will be administering Lovenox myself in the stomach for the next 12 days. All in all it was a seemless procedure minus the additional hernia repair which caused most of the pain. I have no difficulties with the liquid and am able to do 4 ounces every 20 minutes. I am alternating b/nprotein shake and g2 to get the right balance of Protein and carbs. I am excited about starting the second part of my journey... A new slimmer and healthier me! Hi All. My big day is Feb 18th. I'm not scared or nervous, I'm excited!! I started the Pre-Op diet on the 4th. Never knew how much I hate oatmeal, or creame of wheat. Yuck!!! But all in all I'm looking forward for the next phase of my life to start. I've never known what it's like to be thin. I'm ready for it!!! Best of luck, all u February Sleevers!!

Hi! I have a surgery date of Feb 28 with Dr Andrei at St Barnabus in Livingston, NJ. I live in central jersey-- near Asbury Park.
I am 56 and have lost the battle with my weight for 40 years. In spite of a bmi of 41 I have had three children, a granddaughter and I've been married 29 years. I am so sick of the weight-- so sick of airline seatbelts strangling me, sick of the constant pain from arthritis in my feet and ankles.
I am ver excited but a little nervous.

I hope so I start mine on sat.. So here's hoping I can do it... What am I saying of course I can do it....
