I love a small cup of air popped popcorn, and I use fake salt on it due to high blood pressure, so it's good to know some day ill be able to have it again

I don't know if they still sell just syrup or not, old school pharmacy that had an ice cream counter use to use the stuff but that was late 1800's- early 1900's I don't know if it's still sold like that or not..... Most company's have systems that u get the syrup in bulk, hook it to a machine ( like at a mc Donald's or something) and it automatically mixes it for you....

Cola syrup is the thick liquid they add to carbonated Water to make it soda. Basically it's everything that is soda (flavoring, coloring, any extras) except for the water and carbonation part.

There are so many things I am looking forward too!! I can't wait to go to an amusement park this summer and take my son on rides! Going to normal clothing stores instead of big and tall.... Going on hikes without being tired or the last one there... Being able to sit in regular seats wherever I go....

I threw mine away before the surgery, and I am so glad I did. I was only sleeved on 1/28 and I already would have been checking it if I still had it.

It might be weird to hear a guy say this, but I am so looking forward to stuff like this. A lot of my favorite stores I haven't been able to shop at in years due to not carrying my size. So congratulations on a job well done!! And I look forward to being in the same situation soon......lol

Wow I can't believe they did that! Is that even legal what they did? I never thought about it before now, but I am glad I work where I do. A few people have already had bypass surgery and they were very supportive of what I was doing. Sorry to hear this has happened to anybody, I think you should talk to a lawyer about it......

I was sleeved on 1/28, my first checkup is on 2/8 so I don't know if I lost anything yet. I still feel bloated from the surgery. I am craving food all the time, but I think that's from seeing my family eat dinner when they get home. I hope this part gets better when I finally get to the soft food stage.

Is there anything I should expect when I start soft solids, any good recipes out there?

Wow just saw this post, you give guys like me high hopes! I just got sleeved on 1/28 and my weight at that time was 450. I originally started this journey in September of 2012 at 475. I go for my check up on 2/8 and I am excited to see if I've lost anything yet. It's very nice to see another big guy going through the same thing, good luck hope all is well!

I am 7days out and I am craving sushi as well.... I've seen a couple recipes on here for some, but that's still a ways down the road for me

I understand where you are coming from, I am one week post op today and I think the hardest part is smelling and seeing what my family is eating..... So far I haven't given in but it's been the most tempting thing in the world to me. I new before hand that I ate unhealthy but I never realized that I LOVE food. I am so glad that I found this site where I have gotten the chance to talk with other people like me. So far it has helped me get through something that is a lot harder then I thought it was gonna be. Hopefully you find some people to talk to as well cause with what you are doing could be dangerous or even deadly.

I did have a drain as well, but still no staples. Probably each doctor or hospital does it there own way...

I had internal stitches and some clear bandages that had to stay on 3-5 days, no staples

I was sleeved on 1/28 so I am still on full liquid, but ill be more then happy to argue any point once I can have anything solid or semi-solid again..... :-)
